Love it also. I covet pretty much everything Kerry wears on the show. Co-sign. I just started watching the show and love her jewelry, too. Is Shonda Rimes writing the scripts directly? I noticed that there were fewer cheesy extended monologues with lots of repeated lines than on "Grey's Anatomy."

I'm totally all in, too. Last night with the cover up group in session had me totally glued. Next Thursday cannot come soon enough.

This is such a bad show, but there is something intriguing about it anyway. I guess that's what Shonda specializes in.

Kerry Washington's acting kills me. Is she trying to be mysterious? Why is she delivering her lines without facial expression? I don't get what she's doing, which is too bad, because I think the show's got a good soapy, fun thing going on. Plus, as others have already said...Desmond!
I've only watched the first few eps - will jump ahead in the hopes that it will improve...

"You wrote a story on Hollis Doyle?" "Front page, above the fold!" "When something big happens in the Senate today, you should be one of the first Senators to make a statement of support." Sigh.

Desmond seems to be gone with zero fanfare -- maybe he was as annoyed by the redhead as I am?

Desmond seems to be gone with zero fanfare -- maybe he was as annoyed by the redhead as I am? Bwah! I read on TWOP that the actor, Henry Ian Cusick, pissed off Shonda Rhimes and was fired. Apparently, he was late for a rehearsal due to an oil change. As in, he was in traffic on his way to an oil change and told her was going to continue to go through with his plans to get one instead of going to work. I can see why she was pissed--an oil change isn't an emergency, and it wasn't as if he got stuck in traffic after it was done. That may have happened early on in filming, since his role got smaller and smaller as Season 1 progressed. I'm not sure if the oil change was something that soured the working relationship early on, or if they disliked each other from the get go and that was the last straw.

I wonder about Cusick. That does seem like an assy thing to do and there was also that sexual harassment claim when he was on "Lost". Maybe he is a PITA in general.
I caught up on all of last season's episodes a few months back but I haven't been able to really get into this season. Somehow the show always seems like someone's great idea for a show that never quite becomes a fully formed show. Like it's still a sketch. Maybe I'll try to catch up on season 2.

I'm enjoying it still. I really, really like Tony Goldwyn as the POTUS. Can't believe they shot him in the last episode. Do you think that the wife knew or that she just had a bad feeling about the evening?
I like all the WH characters and Olivia. Olivia's team is a little annoying though except for Desmond who is gone now.

I get a feeling that the First Lady knew. She seemed all too insistent on them not going to the party. Way too insistent.
I'm thinking that the one dude that ties them all together (that congress/senator guy) who threatened to do something if Olivia's new boyfriend wasn't made speaker of congress or whatever.
I can't keep these people's names straight, but that's the gist of it.
And why does that girl suddenly suspect she was kidnapped by Huck and Olivia and they alerted her identity? I don't recall her having a sudden need to look into that last episode.
