I liked the S4 premiere (forgetting that I'd not bothered to watch the S3 finale) but I thought Mellie's breakdown over the death of her son was handled way too glibly.

Just may have to change my tagline to: "it's 1976 down there". Oh, I just LOVED that.  Regardless of how they wrote her grief, I still love Mellie. Everyone having to say stuff like, "I showered!" or "These are clean underwear!" to cover for her being so grungy was awesome. But that's where it ends. All this back into the light and are you back, Liv? was just so annoying. At least we didn't have any creepy Huck/Quinn sex or Harrison filling up our TV screens. |

I thought last nights episode was good. Probably the best since two seasons ago.
But, why does everyone in this universe talk exactly the same way? Even when Tom, the secret service agent, gets his first big speech ever he has the same pauses, the same emphasis on certain words and syllables as Joe Morgan and Jake and Abby. It just takes me out of it.
