But is it wrong of me that I snickered a little when they made that reveal about Fitz and his connection to Olivia's mom? I mean, it's AWFUL, but I just can't get over all the twists and turns this show has. It could also be the chocolate talking. PhoebeCongress Woman Marcus was a lot easier to watch tonight and I didn't feel that she was as Lisa Kudrow like her other characters. |

The B613 stuff is losing me (did Shonda watch Alias and think she'd be good at writing a story like that, too, 'cause no) and the "twist" with Fitz shooting down the mom's plane had me rolling my eyes. Watch it turn out that she wasn't really on the plane, so that the deaths of the other 300 people will be downplayed in the story from that point on, because at least Fitz/Papa Pope didn't really kill Olivia's mom, and that's all that really matters. I kind of feel like Scandal is the Gaga of TV shows, and will reach a point (if it hasn't already) where all the "shocking" and "buzzworthy" developments will just seem contrived.

Scandal is just all sorts of fucked up. I almost feel like I need to keep a crib sheet to keep track of which characters are being screwed over by another character and so and and so on. Jesus.

Mellie is currently the only character in the White House I like. And I have a feeling that won't change until there is a new President on this show.

So I can never ship "Olitz". Ever. His reminding her that she is actually a terrible person too, thanks to Defiance, was fucking awful. And while she has Quinn's boyfriend's death on her conscience he actually shot down a plane and killed 329 people. Which brings his (known) death tally up to 330 including that justice he smothered to death. Let Scandal run long enough & we will find out about the pregnant woman he killed drunk driving in undergrad. Or the classmate he "accidentally" drowned in high school. Hell, he probably "killed" his mother in childbirth. The moral of the story: Fitz is kinda psycho.

I wonder if Shonda is laying groundwork for Olivia to go to rehab. She has always enjoyed her wine but the last few episodes have shown her drinking A LOT with the camera focused on the bottle, glass, and Liv gulping it down. I think she's developing a drinking problem. With all the crazy revelations this season it's easy to see why she's hitting the bottle.

I've always wondered why (and where) Olivia gets those frickin' HUGE wine glasses. I don't know many people that drink wine like that. So I could see how her having a potential drinking problem and heading off to rehab could be in the cards. That being said, Shonda says that she knows when & how Scandal will end. |

I read somewhere that the show is being sponsored by Crate & Barrel, or one of those fancy home decor stores, hence the product placement of the wine glasses.
I just started watching this show this season, but saw that recap show to catch up on the first two seasons. So far, I think it's the TV equivalent of eating a bag of chips. You know it's not good for you but you do it anyway. It's still better than Grey's "I can't believe that show is still on!" Anatomy but that's not saying much. And the actors who play Cyrus and Huck are godawful. One goes waaaaaay over the top and the other is monotone and looks constipated all the time.
