I just watched last night. I'm only watching because we get HBO for free this month. I hate Jessa so much that I can barely watch the show, and I will not care that I don't see a full season.

I work at an international organization, in a neighborhood filled with embassies, and while there is a difference, either a lot of people have gone native or American culture has taken over because most of the people I know have great teeth!

Did anyone watch the first two episodes of the new season of Girls? There were some really funny moments and as usual, some highly cringe-worthy moments. I am enjoying it more than Season 2.

After those 2 episodes, I'm thinking I'm about done with this show. I somewhat enjoyed season 1, suffered through season 2, and decided to give this season a chance mainly because most of my favorite shows aren't on right now (especially my Sunday night ones). The only part I found funny was Hannah and Shoshanna singing that Maroon 5 song.

Also, I thought the short haircut that Lena had during filming looked really good on her.

Lena Dunham is labeled The New Queen of Comedy on the cover of Vogue magazine’s February 2014 issue, on newsstands January 28.

Here’s what the 27-year-old Girls star, who posed for pics with her co-star Adam Driver, had to share with the mag:

On Girls being different from other shows: “There was a sense that I and many women I knew had been led astray by Hollywood and television depictions of sexuality. Seeing somebody who looks like you having sex on television is a less comfortable experience than seeing somebody who looks like nobody you’ve ever met. Critics said, ‘That guy wouldn’t date that girl!’ It’s like, ‘Have you been out on the street lately?’ Everyone dates everyone, for lots of reasons we can’t understand. Sexuality isn’t a perfect puzzle, like, ‘He has a nice nose and she has a nice nose! She’s got great breasts and he’s got great calves! And so they’re going to live happily ever after in a house that was purchased with their modeling money!’ It’s a complicated thing. I want people ultimately, even if they’re disturbed by certain moments, to feel bolstered and normalized by the sex that’s on the show.”

On being a private person: “No one would describe me as a private person, but I actually really am. It’s important for me to have a lot of time alone, and to have a lot of time in my house by myself. My entire life sort of takes place between me and my dog, my books, and my boyfriend, and my private world. To me, privacy isn’t necessarily equated with secret-keeping. What’s private is my relationship with myself.”

On her young self: “I thought of myself as relatively unpopular. It wasn’t anybody’s fault—I didn’t go to high school with mean kids—but I didn’t feel part of it. . . . I didn’t really start to feel like I had friends in a real way until I graduated from college and became engaged with the people I’d be engaged with professionally.”

She looks great on the cover. Love the bathroom shot and the one outside by the tracks, very arty, great set ups.

She needs a decent stylist for her award shows cos she can look good.
Oh wait, is that wrong of me to say that?

I actually like her comments about needing time alone and her life being about her home, boyfriend, and pets. I really relate to that feeling.

I like her cover look. Her haircut is great and I totally relate to her need for private time and working on the rekationship you have with yourself. That is what keeps me feeling balanced and with her career and it's scrutiny I bet that alone time is the best thing she can provide for herself. Btw, Vogue covers of late have been photoshopped to shit. This one doesn't seem to be and it's the best one in awhile.
