But she got the dress from Zac Posen! And they've been besties for, like, ever!
So HBO schmoozed the shit out of the HFPA and bought her and her show an award. If we thought she was insufferable before...

Also, I think that her lack of neck makes her look bigger than she is. I am of the mindset that the pixie cut is showing off this lack of neck and doing her no favors.

I don't watch Girls but I was really surprised to see, in the Golden Globe pictures, that she doesn't have Hollywood teeth.

You know, I was only slightly annoyed by her until I realized the cast of Girls is made up of Brian Williams's daughter, David Mamet's daughter, and a member of Bad Company's daughter. Plus Lena is the daughter of rich artists...whose childhood babysitter was Zac Posen.
A cast of spoiled little rich girls? No thanks.

I know, they should have called the show, "Daddy's spoiled little girls who desire Hollywood careers."

I don't know...I'm not a fan of the show, but I found myself watching a few episodes in a row. I think the show is actually better because so many people know about all the connections of so many people involved. Like, of course you think it's cool to try crack! Of course you're strangely whiny about things that don't really dent other people. It's like a strange meta-play, but only the audience is in on the joke.
I might be overthinking it, of course. I just think about how lucky these people are that they also want to go into the arts, and not some other field where their parents can't help them.
I also feel like I'm being mildly patronizing, but I kind of don't care. Lena bothers me a bit--if I were younger, I think I might be more annoyed because I'd want to differentiate myself. The showing herself as she is thing is a plus, though.

Oh please don't make it worse. You're already bordering on insufferable without that line.
I guess what I can say for the girls is that except for Mamet's daughter, they're all college grads. Allison Williams graduated from Yale. So They're not celebrity kid trainwreck slackers.

Oh she's pulling out the tired old "we'll marry when everyone else can marry" line. Somehow I don't see a stampede to the registry office for all these straight couples when gay marriage is legal.
Besides I think they've only been dating since last Sept so whether they'll even be together by the time gay marriage is actually legal is up for discussion.

Isn't it just a Brangelina joke (or dig)?
