Azaleaprincess and I saw it today and we both liked it. There were a couple of things that I know went over her head and she got scared toward the end, but she left the theater demanding a Merida doll.

I was planning on taking my nephew to see this. He's 4 though and the PG rating is making me nervous. Is this scarier than the Lion King or How to Train Your Dragon? He loves both of those movies and I think Lion King is the scariest of the Disney flicks.

The bear parts are loud and scary but over quickly. My four-year-old hid her face but she was fine after the scene. My 8-year-old son later confessed to me that he could not sleep that night because he could not stop thinking about the bear. Both of mine really liked it-- the triplets were adorable. I think that you and your nephew will have a great time!

What Borokat said. Azaleaprincess is 5 and was over her fright as soon as the bear scary parts were over.

I took my niece and nephew to watch and they both really enjoyed it. They couldn't stop giggling about the characters being "naked" at thE end, especially the triplets. Of course, I couldnt even laugh about it because I was busy wiping tears away, lol. Oh how this movie brought up my teenage year fights with my mom.
Also, I really enjoyed the short! Something about it made me feel like a little kid again, it just felt really magical as I watched it. I can't really explain it. You know everything has an explanation to it like why the sky is blue or why it rains, but the explanation is very scientific and not very fun to listen to. But when I was younger (even somewhat until now) I always create stories about how something works. Perfect example, our industrial sized coffee maker at work ran out of coffee and I happened to be there as our Food Services department opened the machine to restock. Well, upon opening the machine, I blurted out "that's just great! I always believed little elves were in there working!" The short really made me feel like that, it was just youthful and magical. Probably my favorite short ever.

Saw this today and really enjoyed it. The animation was gorgeous - it almost looked real at times. I think it's probably the most adult of any of the Pixar movies.
I thought the whole thing was very well done - right balance of humor and drama.

I saw this yesterday and really liked it. I agree with some of the complaints about the plot - there were some scenes that went on too long and the tension didn't build as tightly as in some previous Pixar movies. Still, I really loved the mother-daughter story. It made me wish this movie had existed when I was little.

I saw this alone since my kids are grown and I'm all out of "cover" and really enjoyed it. I didn't see the point of the 3D, there was nothing 3D-ish and the glasses were annoying. I'm glad that a Disney princess has a big head of curls, since natural curls seem to be considered ugly by most of the fashion industry (and the public) these days. I, too, was mesmerized by the constant flowing and movement of that massive mane of curls, imagining the hours and hours and hours of work it took to create that.
