My kids are off seeing this today. I really wanted to see it with my daughters, especially--but I have a cold that has settled in my eye, making it hypersensitive. *pouts*

I saw this yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I too was mesmerized by Merida's hair, it was just so so awesome. It made me wish even more that I'd gotten my mom's curly red hair.

I took MissP to see it in 3D today. She had already seen it in 2D with TrafficChick(who gets migraines from 3D movies). She was so cute, reassuring me about the "scary" bits. I really enjoyed the 3D aspect. It gave a very nice depth to the scenery, and they didn't toss in a bunch of gimmicky Michael Bay shots of crap flying at the camera. The story was typically heartwarming. Got a little choked up at the dedication at the end to Jobs. Merida's hair was animated brilliantly, but all through the movie, I kept imagining her growing up to become Rebekah Brooks.

I took my nephew to see this movie and he loved it. He wasn't the slightest bit afraid of any of the bear scenes. I also loved the movie and I really want Merida's hair. It was gorgeous. Actually, the whole movie was beautifully made.
I really hope that Pixar makes another movie with a female protagonist and this wasn't a one-off decision.
