Poor Carrie (per usual). Quinn looked really good (I didn't see the thing with the kid coming). I wanna see Brody & I want to see Mike (although I just saw the actor on Blacklist and I'm not sure if there's much left to his arc). I just think he's cute.

I'm not reading everyone's posts yet, as it is taking me 3 nights to watch the premiere. Not drawing it out because it's so good - I keep nodding off....
And Carrie - wouldn't a spy have somewhat of a poker face? Every thought or feeling she has is shown on her face. Or is this "ACT-ing"?

I saw the leaked premiere a few weeks ago. I really liked it, and I think if they stay the course set by episode 1, the show will be back to where it was during the first season. Mandy owns this show. I love Saul, but damn..... playing politics is a BITCH.
Also, Quin is HOT.

I watched the premier right after I watched the series finale of Breaking Bad, so I don't know if that affected my judgment, but I thought the episode seemed weak. Like the writers don't know where to go with it.

Holy crap, I can't believe that Saul actually told the truth about Carrie... on live television! I can't imagine what their relationship will be like after this. I'm sure he will have had a really good reason for doing it, but damn, that was cold. He may be trying to protect Carrie from prosecution, but I think he also did it for the greater good of the CIA. The Senate Committee needs a scapegoat and they are less likely to bring a world of sh*t down on the whole agency if they know Carrie is a nutcase. And let's face it - Carrie really has become a liability. If I were Saul I'd be sick of covering her ass too. We still have the burning question of who the leak is in the CIA. More Quinn and less Dana, please.

Man, I don't like season 3's version of Saul :-( I found that scene with the new analyst where he told her to "take that thing off her head" really upsetting. When Dana found Brody's prayer rug, I was afraid they'd have her do something awful to it so I'm glad that didn't happen.
Poor Carrie. I think I need to get back into The Good Wife because I remember that show to be about smart women kicking ass, not getting locked away ;-)

To me he was trying to tell her, people are going to be prejudiced against you from the beginning, so you have to work extra hard to prove yourself (which I'm sure is true for most minorities in the workplace). It was sort of tough love/motivation, which sucks that he had to do, but in the current state of the CIA on the show, it needed to be done.

I found last night's episode to be sooo boring. Parts of the Brody storyline were interesting (like, why are these Venezuelan dudes so intent on keeping him?), but I didn't want to watch that for practically the whole ep. And I'm definitely tired of watching Carrie mope around the psych ward. I'm ready for her to be back in action!

Hee, and I loved last night's episode. I think El Nino and the Venezualans are keeping him around for leverage in some deal they have in the works. I loved the symmetry of Carrie and Brody both locked up and drugged to the eyeballs. I loved that philosophizing pedophile doctor. And I loved that this was Henry Bromell's last episode - his writing really stands out.

It was so dark. The entire season is supposed to be like this. All I've got is that Masters of Sex follows it, and it's much more fun.
I want more Quin and Dar Adal. Those could be some amazing stories, cause the black ops can do anything.
