My mind, she is blown. Saul and Carrie have been running a long con the whole time. Brilliant.

Wow, Carrie is one dedicated (secret) agent. That's one hell of a risky plan if I understand her and Saul correctly. And can only end in bloodshed. Predicting Saul's death by the end of season 3.
Edit: high five, roisin! ;-)

Wait, so everything after the CIA bombing was part of the con, including Saul's testimony throwing Carrie under the bus? Or did the con begin later, after Carrie was institutionalized?
Even though Claire Danes did some incredible acting in the scene where she agrees to provide information to Javadi, I still couldn't believe she would turn traitor. But I certainly didn't expect this either. It feels like things are finally getting good this season.

I liked this episode, but want less Dana/Brody family and more Quinn and black ops!

I finally got around to watching the latest episode, and ho-lee crap! I was thinking before that it was OOC for Saul to throw Carrie under the bus like he did, but I never expected this.
On another note, if they cut Eeyore's (aka Dana Brody's) storyline, it would have no effect on the overall plot.

I KNEW Saul would have some greater purpose in doing that, there's no way he would do that to Carrie. SAUL 4-EVER! But yeah, awesome work by Saul and Carrie. I totally agree about Dana... when we found out that her new boyfriend is potentially a murderer, I said to my boyfriend, "Good, maybe he will murder Dana and then kill himself." I'm sooo sick of those two. I know she's been through a lot, but I can't stand looking at her permanently sour puss face.

That really was a stroke of genius. I was warned to expect a twist, but I was thinking that Carrie's mystery employer would be F. Murray Abraham's character or something like that. The only thing that throws it off is how while Carrie was alone and watching the hearings, she seemed genuinely devastated by Saul's testimony. Plus, she really seemed to be going off the rails. But I guess that was so the audience would be more surprised by the reveal. Well played. I think the Dana storyline would have worked better to show how Brody's actions destroyed his family if the character wasn't such a whiny, emo drip from the very beginning. It would have more impact if she was basically a fairly well-adjusted but vulnerable teen girl and we saw what impact the trauma conga line had on her, but as it stands, pre-shitstorm she was Droopy Dog, and post, she's Droopy Dog with a suicide attempt that she just needed an excuse for. I know what they're trying to do with the character but it's not working, and I don't know whether to blame the writers or the actress for that.

I was really hoping Dana and Leo would die in a car wreck this week. Oh well. Hopefully this storyline is over.
Quinn seems to have an attachment to Carrie - I can't help but wonder if something sexual is going to happen between them.

When Quinn was on the phone with Carrie and said he was only 100 yards away or whatever, I totally thought he was going to come inside and they would sleep together. Not that I would blame her one bit, because he's really hot in an intense sorta way. I definitely think there is some connection there, but he seems like he wouldn't act on it anytime soon because he might be taking advantage of a not totally mentally stable person. I felt so bad for Saul during the whole episode. First he finds out he's not going to be CIA director, then he walks in on his wife having dinner with some dude... in his house. Not cool. Things are finally getting exciting though (with the exception of Dana and her boyfriend's anticlimactic and pointless little adventure).

The only things I can think of that may have any bearing on Dana's awful and unexcellent adventure: 1) Don't lie to her. 2) Brody's wife has established trust--and an IOU--with Carrie.
I have to rewatch Quinn from last season. Maybe he was too office-bound to be as sexy and covert as he seems now.
