I took it to mean when he said "I don't are but I luv 'er" that he was being snarky again. As in his friends told him she just wants the money but his ego and his intoxication with her beauty made him say that but at the end of the day he found out she was a "Goldigger". Listening to the whole song and all the lyrics to the end that is how the story plays out.

Just watched him on 106 and Park and he was whining about how some of his remarks in the Time Magazine were misinterpreted and now he's not doing print interviews unless he has final approval...THE HATE..

Much like with the diamonds. If he still wears them and does other non-productive things regarding the whole rappers and bling bling issue maybe it's not supposed to matter just as long as he does a song or two denouncing his lifestyle choices.

Are you sure he wears conflict diamonds? Many people aware of the atrocities in Africa still wear diamonds, they just wear diamonds that were mined in Canada or other places like that. Anyways, I don't think it really matters who says it- it matters that it's being said.

Frankly I don't care. His whole hypocrital attitue towards bling and the rest of the greedy ugly shallowness he exudes just repulses me.

Even if he is dripping in "conflict-free" diamonds, silver and gold he can still go fuck his self-loving selfish ignorant self a thousand times.

Maybe he is saying it in a snarky way. But I do think the last verse he is making fun of the men too i.e., if she finds a broke man and stays with him until he makes it he is just going to turn around and leave her ass.

In my mind he hasnt yet reached the Sean Combs level of arrogance yet. He also hasnt reached the level of JayZ or Eminem level of hatred of women. I dont hate him - yet.

I think he has the same problem that all young artists have that are overhyped. Some new artist gets one hit song and they tout them as the next greatest thing ever. How can anyone not get a bloated ego from that?

I think Kanye loves being talked about/loves seeing his name in the press too much to actually go through with that. I think he'll keep doing interviews. As long as he doesn't start demanding 10 grand per interview like Lauryn Hill started doing, then I can easily ignore his complaints about the media.

I read over my magazine again to see exactly what he was complaining about, and the article points out a lot of ways he contradicts himself. His mother's comments about that were the best thing about the article in my opinion. Here's the quote:

"His music is about being human," says West's obviously biased mother Donda, who recently retired from her post as chair of the English department at Chicago State University. "It's like Walt Whitman. 'Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes.' "

That's very similar to how I feel about Kanye. He does contradict himself a lot, but I don't care because I like his music so much. I hear him talking, but I don't care what he's saying as long as he's making me dance.

I haven't heard the song, but if I understand correctly Jamie Foxx is a part of it? Jamie Foxx pracitcally outright said that he didn't mind that the attention he got from women know was partly just because they were famewhoring or goldigging.

In his Oscar interview with Barbara Walters she asked him about how it was difficult to deal with so many women wanting him for disingenuous reasons. Foxx responded with someting like "Oh no, no, no. All attention from women is great."
