He was talkinga bout how he wanted to get out of there fast so he could call his business manager and get to donating.

He first started talking about how disgusted he is with how starving black people are being called looters while white people are just said to be foraging for food.

He also said something along the lines of how we're fighting a war in a different place but that those soldiers are now being sent down to New Orleans "with orders to shoot us" (meaning black people).

Then of course he blasted dubya for not caring about black people at all. To which Mr. Oxynia responded "does he care about anyone outside his agenda?"

From what you said K West said? All 100% true. But I have to look at the pious pretentious speaker and wonder to myself what his motivations are.

I just wish someone more genuine who I could respect and believe in more was given a platform to highlight those same obvious points and other things but actually sincerely. Kanye is a pretentious arrogant idiot. Even when he jumps on a real issue I'm just repulsed because I think he's a self-serving asshat and always without fail proves himself to be a self congratulatory disingenuious clown at the end of the day. He isn't in it to do the genuine cause he exploits any good....just ultimately prop himself, his image and his hot-air ego.

Well I suppose the real contenders and the real humanitarians (I'm talking about the Red Cross here not any self serving celebrities!) were not given that TV spot so it was Kanye's corner to exploit and puff wind about.

Again I commend Diddy and Jigga for donating $ 1 million of their own finances and not going on TV to create a "controversy" hoping it would prop their false image as "the politically relevant rebel MC du jour" or sell their album.

I love Kayne, I love his music and I think he puts himself out there in a very sincere way, warts and all. I saw what he said and it just takes guts and integrity to say how you really feel and I totally agree. He is going to get shit, I am sure, but seeing all that carnage moves people to say how they feel deep down. He just oozes integrity to me. And I think he is learning as he goes along.

We'll see what happens. I just have a completely different view of him. Like I said, I think he's learning as he goes and I think it was pretty obvious, if you saw it, that he was profoundly affected by the tragedy. That's all I've got and obviously its just my opinion.

Just as a coincidence to Kanye's statements of this afternoon I saw Kanye's Punk'd and usually it's Ashton that comes off as the idiot and an asshat but Kayne? I have never seen anyone even on that annoying show behave like that! It was beyond words! I was just left thinking "So given that situation that's what you would do Kanye???! Are you serious!! You would have your crew manhandle and attack the authorities and run off like a little boy?"
