Agreed. And I love Connie but it would be great if she could manage an expression other than wounded.

Thanks for the link correction, sumire.Plus, there wasn't any real music in this episode either. I was hoping the song that Rayna and Deacon were supposed to perform at the political fundraiser was going to be a lively, rollicking number, but it was sort of anemic for the occasion.

Halfway through tonight's episode and I want a meteor to appear and hit Scarlett. I can't stand her voice, personality or storyline.

Yep. And even moreso after tonight's epi. She grates.

We are still watching this show but that is mainly due to HGTV's ladyboner (can I say that in a wholesome show thread?) for Tami Taylor. I feel like there are just way too many storylines going on at once, like the writers are just throwing crap at a wall and seeing what will stick. Not enjoyable.

The soundtrack was released before Christmas and I'm really enjoying it. I don't know whether that's because I'm a closet country fan, because the original music is better than what's in country right now, or if TV can convince me to like anything (or equal parts all three)

Anyone still watching this? It seems like Hayden's character is turning into Kim Kardashian...... and they're going to drag out her divorce to the athlete?
Also, the blonde is not that cute. I don't understand why every man wants her.

Still watching without much enthusiasm. I love the music, I even bought the soundtrack. But the show is pretty boring. It is really predictable and it feels like nothing happens. I read somewhere the creator wanted the show to really be about the music industry and the network wanted something soapy and this is the half assed compromise. It really needs to figure out what kind of show it wants to be and commit. If it wants to be the country version of Revenge great. If it really wants to be an insider look at how the music industry works (which I would prefer), then maybe drop the stupid stories about virgin football players and stolen lipstick.
Agreed about Scarlett. I do like her singing voice but her speaking voice grates and I think she is the opposite of cute.

interesting on the direction of the show. You'd think they'd hammer those sort of details out before production begins.
I was half expecting that the oldest daughter would get a text from someone saying Deacon is her daddy....
(and since I spent half the year working in politics, that was the quickest and easiest mayoral campaign in history! Ha!!

I am watching without much enthusiasm as well. I really like the storylines revolving around Hayden's character. I hate all of the storylines involving Connie's character. I find her and her entire family unlikable and uninteresting. And I'd love Scarlett's storyline if another actress was playing her.
