I don't like the changes they've made this season, but I'm hanging in there. They really dumbed down the show. Making Mindy more "likeable"? Making the Danny-Mindy thing more obvious? Super duper meh.

Dan Hedaya to guest-star as Danny's dad. Great casting! I don't like the changes they've made this season, but I'm hanging in there. They really dumbed down the show. Making Mindy more "likeable"? Making the Danny-Mindy thing more obvious? Super duper meh. I actually think this show has done a great job with the build-up of the Danny/Mindy pairing. I like the slow progression of their friendship. Of course it's obvious that they have underlying romantic feelings for each other, but isn't that the way things usually go in real life (especially with office romances)? It wouldn't make any sense to just throw them together out of nowhere. I know they were supposed to be changing Mindy's character a bit, but I haven't really noticed.

I like Adam Pally actually, but I would be fine with them getting rid of Ed Weeks's character- I don't really see a purpose for him anymore. I have to completely disagree on Mindy as I LOVE her. See, I feel the opposite. They can make plenty of yuk-it-up jokes about Weeks' Britishness, whereas Pally is just another bro in a long line of guest bros (who's now a regular cast member, right?). I was hoping Larenz Tate was a viable option for more than one episode, but apparently he was to Mindy what Donald Glover was to Girls: just a bit of brown, quickly discarded... OK, that sounds really dramatic  , but I'm saying, there's a huge pool of non-white actors/comedians who I'm sure would jump at the chance to be on this show. P.S. I like the tension of the Mindy/Danny friendship too. Danny can do no wrong after that Aaliyah choreography. |

Okay, I officially like Adam Pally a lot more now because I saw a pic of him and his wife on Mindy's instagram and his wife is, like, a little bit chubby. Yes, I'm THAT shallow...  |

So, who is watching this season?? I was a little disappointed after the first episode, but after watching this week it has really picked up for me. I was sad that the Mindy/Danny relationship was terminated so quickly, but at the same time it's probably a good thing (for the moment). This show still makes me giggle like no other on television right now. Oh, and I totally want to be a patient at Sheila Hamilton's OB/GYN office, and also get that birth control where you can sync your cycle with Sandy Bullock's. |

I actually have to change my mind on Adam Pally. Peter is so damn sweet, even at his douchiest, that I kinda want Mindy/Peter to happen.
