Yeah, and knowing she has a gun, this is all bound to end up messy.

"Poor Martha" is going to be inscribed on her tombstone. I feel like everyone that Philip and Elizabeth are hustling- Martha, Lisa, Kimberly are going to end up dead.
I really did not need to see someone getting necklaced. That was horrifying.

Every time Martha comes on screen I start groaning. On one hand, she has to be the most love-blind character ever. On the other, she is very believeable because we all have that one friend/relative who was in a relationship everyone else knew was headed nowhere good.
I wonder if Granny/Claudia is coming back. The other show the actress was on was cancelled, so she is probably available. I enjoyed that dynamic more than the older gentleman that is always inviting them over to eat.
Lastly, I would kinda like to see Beaman get axed because I would love to see his characters reaction to finding out the truth about his buddy Phillip. I hope at some point in the show we get to see that.

Last night was tough to watch. Damn. I was wondering why they hired a familiar face to play someone they'd just kill off and...yeah. Whooole full backstory. Oof.

"That's what evil people tell themselves when they do evil things." Good burn, Betty.
Martha went from being the most annoying character to the one I love the most. The evolution of her relationship with Clark/Philip is so interesting. "I trust her." But he clearly does not trust Elizabeth. Martha is willingly giving up info now. I'm glued to the screen with these two.

I've been waiting for something like that to happen to Elizabeth. It's high time she experienced some of the guilt Philip feels. I'm not quite sure why Elizabeth didn't just kill the old woman immediately though. I guess she had to make it look like an accident/suicide in order to throw off the FBI.
I don't quite believe that Martha is moving on like nothing happened. Something is off there.
I love Stan and Oleg as drinking buddies. More of them, please.

Congrats Paige, you just got Pastor Tim killed. But seriously, her whole reaction to the situation is just like a 14 year old girl would react. It's been painful to watch. The finale was more low key then I expected. A lot of dangling threads for next season. Maybe one too many. I liked Nina in the first two seasons but now that she is back in Russia her storyline seems superfluous. I wouldn't mind if they dropped her from the show completely.

I agree, a lot of loose threads. I love that Elizabeth took Paige to meet her grandmother believing it would be this important bonding experience, and instead it just made Paige more frightened. And Elizabeth is so wrapped up in her own grief and anger that she can't see the warning signs or how much pain Philip is in.
It's a good thing Stan has Reagan on his side, otherwise his career would have been over last night. Poor Gaad.
Still waiting to see the fallout from Martha's story. It's getting more and more unbelievable that she's still alive.
The Philip/Sandra Beeman scenes were unexpected. I am wary of where the writers are taking this, as I really don't want to see an affair between them.

Even though it probably means the end for Pastor Tim, I love that Paige is not simply falling in line with her parents. They've gotten so used to lying all the time that they don't know how to deal with a daughter who has a conscience. I think it's a brilliant conflict to introduce into the show. "Everyone lies all the time, Paige." Is this something a parent in any other situation would say to their teenage child? I think it's bold to give Paige the self-awareness to say to her mom, "that's not who I am."
Philip is cracking up. Elizabeth has to keep faith in Mother Russia, because otherwise it was all for nothing. Her mother gave her up to the cause for nothing. If this show goes on to the end of the Cold War, Elizabeth will be absolutely shattered.
Stan, did you really think they'd bring back Nina for you? So dumb. He's probably going to go after Martha even harder next season.
