Keri's hair looks wrong to me for the era. I'm not expecting her to have feathered layers necessarily but it doesn't look much different than the way she wears her hair in real life now. I totally agree. As someone old enough to remember those times, the hair is really off. If it was going to be that long she needed the polygamist-wife puffy bangs to go with it.

I'll overlook the inaccuracy of the hair. I don't want to see Keri Russell's beautiful face framed with some puffy, Aqua Netted bangs! Her hair looks a little bit like Jennifer Jason Leigh's in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which came out around '81 or '82. (Beware of googling "Jennifer Jason Leigh Fast Times" at work because you get a lot of NSFW pics )

They could hot-roller her hair. Hot rollers were big. If you go back and look at the chicks on soap operas in the 80s, most of the time, they didn't have big bangs and perms, they had long wavy Disney Princess hot-rollered hair.

Watched it again on the rerun last night. Loved it all over again! As for the hair, I think the FBI wife had it close, or from what I remember from my mom's style back then. Long, flowy, Farrah Fawcett wavy, and maybe they tried to feather her bangs a bit?
I'm paying the most attention to Matthew Rhys' fight scenes. Yowza. I would have never guessed he could be that physically dominating in a role after watching him in Brothers and Sisters, but damn he is selling it. I also loved Keri Russell kicking Timoshev's head through a wall.
Cannot wait for tonight! Also, I've been thinking about "Tusk" since last week! Finally bought it last night-actually I bought the Greatest Hits album it came on since I liked the majority of those songs and it was only $5.99 on Amazon. Wonder if Fleetwood Mac got a bump in sales?

I can't wait for tonight's ep. The pilot was soooo good.

So I read an interview with Matthew Rhys and apparently Elizabeth has a big revelation in episode 3 that makes Philip seriously question if he wants to be with her. I wonder what it could be? Given everything he already knows about, it must be pretty bad. I'm thinking maybe she had an abortion and didn't tell him about it?

I also loved Keri Russell kicking Timoshev's head through a wall. That's why I hated him the first time he came on screen in this show. It's because he played that whiny, asshole on Brothers & Sisters. Man, I hated every character on that show.

I didn't like last night's episode as much as the pilot, but it was entertaining nonetheless. I'm most excited about seeing Derek Luke in the next ep. He is delicious and is tangled up with Elizabeth somehow.

Great episode tonight. I haven't been all that impressed with Keri Russell's acting thus far, probably because her character has been so emotionless. But she acted the hell out of that scene at the kitchen table with Philip. These two really have a great chemistry.
I knew the moment we saw the van that the dead operative's wife was a goner.

She was so stupid. Maybe people in general were dumber then, because if I think someone told me, "If I'm not back in 2 weeks, place this ad," I would run in the other direction.
