TWOP makes me stabby. A couple of people think Elizabeth is going to recruit Mrs. Stan. One poster asked why they'd want to do that since all she would be able to tell him was what he was wearing and what he ate for dinner.
I'm wondering if Nina makes it to season 2. I would like a friendship between Elizabeth and Mrs. Stan. I like the relationship between the 2 families.

I haven't been to TWOP since the whole malware warning thing. I can only imagine the fanfic scenarios some posters are coming up with for this show.
I still think there is going to be a teen romance between Paige and Matthew. She likes him, but he seems a couple of years older than her. His anger with Stan is going to be fun to watch if they show us more.
I could see if Special Agent John-Boy reasoning that if Nina and Stan's closeness might possibly hurt the investigation, Nina going bye-bye in anyway possible would be for the best.

Posters are still arguing that Mrs. Stan becoming a mole would be an awesome story idea. Apparently they think FBI agents bring home top secret classified documents, or that Elizabeth can convince Mrs. Stan to convince Stan she has to know all about his work to save their marriage. She can't seduce her husband into screwing her, but she will find a way to get him to tell her government secrets.
It was clear toe that Elizabeth knew Phillip would be screwing Irina. It bothered her because he had a history with her. Maybe now that they've decided to have a real marriage, they won't be too happy about the other one having to be a honey trap to get info. Most people are not, "Hooray! You are going to seduce someone else today!" about the person they love.

The writers better be writing Chris as becoming suspicious of Martha and not stalking her because he's obsessed.
When Elizabeth said, "They'll think we (KGB) did it," after the scientist and the 3 FBI agents were killed, I really wanted Phillip to point out that they did do it. The German guy didn't go rogue, he was hired by the KGB and then somebody said, "This is a really stupid idea. We need to stop him."
Every week I wonder more and more how Stan survived being deep undercover.
I hope the writing improves and we stop with the 1 step forward, 43 back with Phillip & Elizabeth's marriage. They're off, they're on. They're off, they're on.

An article from Slate about why Stan is the show's most heartbreaking character. A couple of us are geniuses and have wondered about the things mentioned in the article.

Stan was once one of my favorite characters but his cold-blooded murder of the Russian in his custody really turned me off.

For once it would be nice for an FBI agent to be portrayed as being good at his job, in a happy and stable relationship, and not an idiot. I thought at first Stan might be that character but apparently not.

I thought at first Stan might be that character but apparently not. Totally agree, but if Stan shoots Martha in the face, all is forgiven. The writing needs to even out. I know the writers want us to pull for Phillip and Elizabeth (it is so obvious that there might as well be a neon sign), but at this point I am actively rooting against them because, even I know what the real outcome was, on this show the FBI is written like the underdog.

I am just rooting for Philip and Elizabeth to make it out of this okay, not for the Soviet cause. I want Stan to be alright too. I don't feel like the show is trying to push anyone's agenda. If anything, it's showing how fortunate Philip and Elizabeth are to be living in America since they clearly have freedoms here they wouldn't have in the USSR. Philip already knows this and I think Elizabeth is getting there, albeit much more slowly.

I want both Elizabeth and Philip to make it out, too, but not necessarily together. Their breakup is kind of a neat twist on the usual dynamic between couples on drama shows. Away from Philip, I think, Elizabeth will become a much more interesting character.
