Haven't the writers admitted in interviews to writing the scripts in a stilted manner to manipulate (that may not be the best choice in words) the viewers into pulling for Phillip and Elizabeth? I think I remember reading that.
I do not want to see Stan lose his family and job while Phillip and Elizabeth ride off into the sunset.
Stan killed Vlad. Phillip and Elizabeth have poisoned a college kid, the turned over Robert's wife to granny knowing she'd be killed, they e killed a security guard, framed an innocent (and good) man for rape, and killed an FBI agent. If they don't don't suffer majorly or turn double agent by next season, I'm going to want Stan to shoot them in the head too.
I like Phillip more than Elizabeth because he has self-awareness and she does not.

Why couldn't they have moved Gregory to Cuba? It seems like it would be less of a stark change for him. At any rate, I'm sad to see him go, he was an interesting character.

I wanted to see much more of Gregory so I'm really bummed they killed him off. I kept waiting for Elizabeth to shoot him in the back of the head, it seems like something she'd end up doing.
I wonder what Nina will do if she finds out Stan was responsible for Vlad's death.

I'm pissed Gregory didn't at least make it to season 2. Here's hoping there's another pool of black people they know...

They killed the Hispanic guy last week and the black guy this week. This show needs some minorities.
I'm not sure there is anything Nina can do if she finds out Stan killed Vlad.

I'm not sure how Nina would find out Stan killed Vlad. If I'm Stan, I tell Nina that there was evidence that Gregory and his KGB contact killed Vlad.

I just watched the last episode and it may be my favorite of the season in terms of sheer spy drama. It didn't have the emotional depth of some previous episodes but finally the FBI and the KGB seem to be on even footing. I wasn't rooting for either side, instead I was completely drawn in by the power play. The actress portraying Nina was especially good. Her seeming change of heart makes perfect sense given the circumstances and she's played it very believably while also leaving room to believe that she's playing both sides in order to further her own aims.

Poor Martha. At some point she will no longer be useful to Philip and with what she knows about Clark she is a very real threat. I was worried about Nina's fate all season (still am) but this "marriage" will not end well for Martha. Elizabeth said it best when she told Paige "we see what we want to see in people even if it's not really there."

Did anyone watch the season finale last night?
How messed up is it that Stan is likely the one whose shot wounded Elizabeth, then Philip has to call him to ask if he can watch their kids while Elizabeth recovers in a dirty warehouse hospital?
I was really touched watching Elizabeth listening to her mother's taped letter. Great acting by Keri Russell with not a word spoken.
Martha sex scenes : DO NOT WANT! We get it, writers, Clark/Philip is good in bed. We've been hit over the head with that enough to really, really believe it. Don't need to see her O face or hear her dirty talk any more.

Yeah, too much Clark & Martha. Poor Martha, she's stupid but I'll be sad when the inevitable happens to her.
Otherwise, I enjoyed the finale. Elizabeth's scene with her mother's tape was great. Lots happening and I'm ready to come back for another season.
I wonder if they'll keep the handler around next season, I kinda like the tough old broad.
Mrs. Stan really shut that one down. Does she know he's been cheating on her? I'm guessing yes.
