Benedict's hair right now is THE TRUTH! He's looking good & that pinch was adorable. Seems they have a solid relationship.

I have a pretty good idea how he pulled it off*, but why he stayed dead for three years? And how John will take his reappearance? That's what I'm really curious about. And I sorta suspect the how of it all will probably be as quickly resolved as the Great Game cliffhanger was when Scandal aired. * Sherlock lands on the garbage truck that's pulling away right when he lands, Molly plants a decoy cadaver, buses blocked his fall from John's sightline, the kid on the bike knocked John to disorient him enough that he didn't get to examine the body before it was quickly removed (all my own speculation, I don't know any spoilers) My theory has to do with what he said to the reporter earlier in the episode. You REPEL me. It was very out of character for him to say this. Sherlock is all about dismissing people, but that exchange was very different and stood out for me. I think he somehow had a wire attached to him and repelled down the building. Then when he got to a certain level, he just fell. But the wire allowed him to slow his speed enough that it partially breaks his fall. I think he did really hit the ground, and hurt himself-- that was real blood. I think he learned from Molly how to fake the DNA. I think the biker did knock John to the ground so John wouldn't be able to really analyze the fall. No idea why he stayed away for 2 years. I cannot wait until January 1st, when I will illegally stream from the UK! Sometimes I just love modern technology. (And I have you fabulous creatures to thank for it!!) PS: Went to the Kimmel taping. OMG. His fans are cray-cray. I do not understand why girls/women scream and act like fools in public. The audience was 95% women. He was fabulous and witty, and my friend and I enjoyed the interview and overall experience. I think the ladies will absolutely love his rendition of R. Kelly's "Black Panties". R.Kelly's appearance was a different story entirely. I also kind of got a crush on Jimmy. He is adorable in person.

The squash ball I think was also a clue. I know that when you hold a small ball in your armpit, it can make it show you have no pulse in that arm.

I know, right? If only he and David Beckham could switch voices.

I haven't watched it (I actually never watch celebrity interviews because I find them embarrassing mostly. I have acute fremdschämen) but I like seeing them gif'd later on. Tumblr has been going nuts for the R Kelly stuff, which seems like it would have been torturous to see in person. Like awkward and embarrassing. I did think it was cute that the fans laughed when he said he did the motion capture for Smaug and then he was all, why is that funny? Because it's been a sort of running joke on tumblr that he says that in every interview. I think his crazy fans are really getting to him though, if this quote is real:

I was there. I had free time, and had never been to a taping, so thought why not? My girlfriend and I felt like the only normal, sane women in attendance because we weren't screaming. The crazy seemed to be on the other side of the theater in priority seating... which I find unsettling.
Jimmy's staffers said they'd never seen anything like it-- but BC's fandom was close to Justin Timberlake levels. I half expected to hear of fans coming from other countries, but it seems that the farthest anyone came was San Francisco, and that audience member was pointed out to Jimmy/Benedict.
The producers never had to put up "clap now" signs during BC's bit, but had to routinely flash the STOP clapping signs because the audience wouldn't settle down. To me, they kind of seemed Twilightly. Middle aged moms and really young girls. The laughter for the mocap comment came from what had to be a stan (she was a screamer), and she was on the other side of the theater, far away from me.
I'm really reserved by nature, so this behavior jolts me. Glad I'm not alone.

It probably freaks him out a bit. Having people scream at him and living up to expectations. Thankfully I'm not obsessive about him...as I snuggle with the life size cutout of him.
