Oh, barf: Hmmm, I'm not so sure that *an eye for an eye* style protest really works on an ethical level when it comes to animal protection.

I heard about that. Apparently dude really did eat corgi. Eugh. There's been speculation for a few years on Prince Phillip's health - rumours of cancer etc. I wonder.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure that *an eye for an eye* style protest really works on an ethical level when it comes to animal protection. In this case it definitely doesn't. I had a corgi myself and I'm just appalled that McGowan thought to make a point this way. He comes across as a sick attention seeker who wants to be shocking, not a defender of animal rights.

Hospitalized. It sounds like he's pretty much okay, though. I guess when you're 86 it pays to be careful.

Reports are that he has prostate cancer. He is a tough old bird, that is for sure.

He's the best thing to happen to the Monarchy, next to the Queen. I don't think the Queen would have been able to carry things without him.
I love his gaffes.

That and he wasn't all that bad-looking back in the day. Not QUITE a hottie like his grandson, but compared to most of the royals...

Speaking of "gaffes", that's nothing compared to his "grandfather-in-law", George V." IIRC, he asked Charles Lindburgh "What did you do you about peeing?" after he met the guy.
Heee!
It really is too bad that none of the kids take after him, looks-wise. And Elizabeth was rather pretty when she was young-what the hell happened?
