Hmmm, I'm not so sure that *an eye for an eye* style protest really works on an ethical level when it comes to animal protection.
A performance artist has eaten what he claims was a corgi during a live radio broadcast in protest against the royal family and its alleged mistreatment of animals.
Mark McGowan, who once ate a swan in a performance art show, said on the London-based arts station that cooked Corgi tasted really disgusting.
He says he wants to raise awareness about the RSPCA's inability to prosecute Prince Philip and his friends, whom he says shot a fox earlier this year, let it struggle for five minutes, then beat it to death.
The vegetarian and animal rights activist said the corgi died at a breeding farm and was then minced with apple onion and seasoning.
The 37-year-old told listeners fellow artist Yoko Ono also tasted the dog and looked a bit strange.
The RSPCA said in a statement it had investigated the alleged incident involving Philip at the Queen's Sandringham estate in January and "found no evidence that an offence of causing unnecessary suffering had taken place".
