News here is saying he's 'comfortable' and 'satisfactory' but will be in hospital for up to two weeks. At his age, when they say 'exploratory', I always think of cancer.

They really shouldn't send him to this kind of thing anymore. He's starting to remind me of those extremely elderly men I used to see when I visited my nana in the nursing home, the ones who swear a lot and whose marbles aren't really there.
At some point, the royal duties have to stop. He's 94, the poor bloke has served his time.

Wow, that first photo definitely confirms how much photoshopping there was in the Testino christening pix (linked in the Duchess of Cambridge thread). Prince Philip's under-eye circles are normal for his age, I guess.

I can't imagine this is any different from any other day/moment for him. I imagine his family, the servants, security, the dogs get yelled at by him constantly. Bless his ancient heart. He's my birthday twin so I have a twinge of sympathy for His Royal Grumpiness.

Phillip has a strong sense of duty. He won't stop until they put him in the grave. He's cut back some, though.
