He's always been like that, though -- I think it's more that he's a product of a time when rich white men could say and do anything they wanted and be absolutely assured of getting away with it, plus the fact that he's royalty.

If you think about it, it's really no different than saying to someone named Smith, hey, a bunch of your relatives are here. (Isn't Patel the equivalent to Smith in India?) That seemed to be what they were saying in the story. I'm with everyone else. Stupid? Yes. But he's said worse. C'mon, Phil! You have to work harder to offend people.  |
