This may end up being a good zombie flick, but based on what I've seen, it's not World War Z. Which is a shame, I love that book. That's my impression as well. From what I can tell, the only thing the book and the movie have in common is the title and that it's about a zombie apocalypse. I'll probably skip it. I'm just not digging the idea of a Brad Pitt-saves-the-world movie.

Maybe all he'll have to do is shoot them a smoldering look.

I will probably see it. Big action flick, Brad Pitt, zombies, based on a book I really liked. But, at the same time I cannot help but just shake my head. I cannot believe $170 million dollars was spent to make it. I'm sure it will make it's budget back, but it probably won't make enough money to be really considered a huge hit. Too much competition this summer. And props to James Badge Dale who is in this, Iron Man 3, and The Lone Ranger. Jeez, when it rains it pours.

The trailer looks generic as hell. Seriously you can't even tell that this is about zombies. And the CGI does not look impressive at all.

I thought the same thing when I saw the preview today. I would not have even known that they were zombies if I had not read it here.

I saw the trailer today before Star Trek. I wonder if that is intentional? That the zombies aren't really shown but I don't understand the reasoning behind it.

Maybe the special effects for the zombies suck and they're trying to hide it.

Didn't they spend $170 million to make this movie? The special effects should not suck at that price.

Didn't they spend $170 million to make this movie? The special effects should not suck at that price. Part of the reason for the huge cost is that the special effects team created cool-looking, gruesome, R-rating-worthy zombies, then were told to scrap all the work and start again because the movie needed PG-13 zombies.

Shit, for $170, I could make gruesome PG-13 zombies.
This movie is going to be bad. Quality of the film regardless. Heads will roll.
