Yeah...I've liked zombies for years...but love werewolves best. For some reason, they haven't really made a splash like vamps or zombies. That's because they are too hairy. I don't read books much anymore. I used to read a lot of them but I've flipped the switch. Movie doesn't look that great, so I'll probably wait for on demand or some much cheaper option.

World War Z is getting some decent reviews, so it may not be a total disaster. I really liked the book, so may check it out.

My husband is reading the book right now and likes it. He is curious to see how they translate it into movie-form.

The previews with all of the people (zombies?) falling over each other makes my flesh crawl especially when they are climbing up that wall. Think I'm going to pass.

AGREE, I like my zombie apocalypse something I can possibly survive. 28 Days Later introduced me to fast-moving zombies and I have never been the same. Mind you, it's one of my favorite movies ever, but the RUNNING nearly gave me a heart attack.

Saw it and it was okay. Brad just isn't the Charlton Heston-type he clearly wishes he were.

Agreed. I wouldn't say it was bad, just not terribly good. A more charismatic lead would've improved it immensely.

Mark Ruffalo, for example, would have been perfect.

I really like BP but have no interest in watching this movie, even if it was sitting at 98% on RT and had excellent word of mouth. I don't get the whole zombie craze, and though I like many actors, I don't like anyone enough to spend money if the subject doesn't interest me.Side note, the woman who plays his wife in this movie? Mireille Enos? I've vaguely heard of her name before but I saw her in Gang Squad few months back. She had a small part as Josh Brolin's wife but I thought she was quite interesting and one to keep an eye on. I really liked her. Anyway, Brad and Paramount must be sighting with relief today. The movie seems to be overperforming based on Thursday/Friday tickets according to Deadline. It was projected to open domestically in the upper 30s, lower 40s and it's currently slated to make around 63M. Internationally they compared one day's sales in various markets to Inception and it outperformed there too. Not sure if it will make a profit given the huge budget and marketing, but given its decent critic reviews and opening numbers, it will at least, not be considered a failure. It may even open bigger than Mr. and Mrs. Smith which I believe is his biggest opening to date.
