Lupita is nonstop perfection at this point so I think she should show up at some minor event in something ill-fitting from Dress Barn just to mess with everyone.
I really wanted to go see 12 Years this weekend and it didn't happen, but it did make it back into the theater in my town.

I just saw the video for her SAG speech and she is so lovely, articulate and funny. Regardless of whether she wins an Oscar or not, I hope she has many more opportunities in the future to showcase her talent. An Oscar doesn't mean much really in terms of career longevity if it cant be parlayed into more parts. It is an achievement, the highest of its field, but not neccessarily a guarantee for a long and succesful career.
She hits the perfect score on beauty, talent and grace. That accent of hers doesn't hurt either.

I don't even know what to say anymore. Stunning, marvelous, talented, an Ivy Leaguer... I just want to give her a hug.

That SAG awards dress was perfection. Loved it.
I also like that peach/beige dress she wore to the PGA. It was a very interesting cut. She has an awesome figure.

Damn! Lupita and her stylist are just hitting constant homeruns. I want her to wear a swan dress or something to the Oscars just for the lulz.

This was a lovely roundtable interview (Amy Adams, Julia Roberts, Octavia Spencer, Emma Thompson, Oprah, and Lupita). Lupita had a lot of interesting things to say as an actor very new to the scene. She looked gorgeous in her suit, of course. Her beauty is sort of out of this world, isn't it? It was also very sweet that there was mutual fan-girling between her and Oprah. Also, I'm sort of convinced that Oprah is going to be pulling some serious Oprah!power behind the scenes to get Lupita the win. Like, some serious campaigning on her part. Kind of how Jack Nicholson campaigned for Adrian Brody for The Pianist, even though both were nominated in the same category.

I thought the exact same thing when the Oscar nominations were announced. Oprah realised it wasn't going to happen for her, so she decided to throw whatever power/influence she has behind Lupita. We shall see come March! Thank you for posting that THR round table. I loved it. Even Julia Roberts managed to be charming. I found it funny that Oprah reflexively goes into interviewer mode.
