This upcoming Starz series is based on the book Series by Diana Gabaldon. They've just finished casting the lead female character , Claire Randall. This guy is playing Jamie Fraser. I think these casting choices are perfection. I am beyond excited about this series. I finished Voyager a few weeks ago and love the characters, even when they are behaving like giant asses (which happens frequently). I can't wait to see the television adaptation of this! |

Hmmmm. Of the three leads, "Frank" is the closest to my mental picture, though hair/makeup will probably work wonders. If the series is a success, I wonder how they will deal with the later books.

I love these books, but I have no interest in the series at all. I'm just not interested in this becoming part of the zeitgeist the way Game of Thrones has. Maybe I'm being selfish, but I don't want it to have the same success.

Maybe I'm being selfish, but I don't want it to have the same success. I love the books but I don't see the show getting the same following as GOT. We'll see, but this is romance heavy with some action and intrigue thrown in. I'm anxious to see what the reaction is from those who haven't read the books. I do like that there aren't 7 dozen characters to keep track of and complicated family trees, alliances, relationships, etc. |

Watched it! (mmmph times) I think they got it right. Very true to the story (so far) with minimal deviations or skipped plot points. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season/series.

My stupid cable provider didn't have the On Demand free preview so I had to watch this via You Tube. Other than that I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the rest of the episodes!
