Just love this show, my girlfriend is back in town and I swore I would wait so we could watch it together. I love Claire with Jamie but I am such a wimp, I would stay in the 20th century with in door plumbing.

Catriona Balfe just keeps getting better and better as Claire. Tobias Menzies was wonderful but I still am not a Frank fan. Loved Murtagh bitching about France. Wish this show was on Netflix so we could binge watch. The premiere flew by! I need more!

I get Starz through an Amazon subscription, and they had the second episode posted first thing this morning.
I walk away with these three thoughts:
- The costumes, sets and locations are glorious
- I can totally see why the French Revolution happened. These people are kind of the worst.
- Murtagh is the best thing about this show.

I think its fair to say production spends most of its money on those glorious costumes. And this is just the beginning of the eye candy. Claire wears a yellow dress at some point in the season that's just divine. I actually have the poster of Claire in the red dress (but it's not cut down the middle, exposing her boobs)... and for me the best thing about the poster is the shoes. I want those shoes!
And I agree, the French are awful. I wouldn't last long in that society. I'd probably roll my eyes at the wrong person and get myself killed. (Especially if I had to watch someone taking a dump. Did that really happen?? It's like the French aristocracy were the Kardashians of the 1700s).

I've seen pics of SH out and about in real life and he does nothing for me. But when he's in Jamie drag, he's super-hot. And his hair totally was on point in this episode.
