Yes, I usually watch the episodes twice because they're so pretty, but I don't think I'll watch that again.
That said, I think it's amazing television.

So, I've been steering clear of the show since I'm a HUGE fan of the books and I was afraid of being let down. But directtv did that binge-a-thon over christmas and I watched a few choice episodes and holy cow... They have done such an amazing job!!! I bought both halves on Amazon Prime. The casting and scenery is top notch. I can't wait to see what they do next.
The one thins I will say is that Claire should be about 10-15 pounds heavier. But this is hollywood after all. And I'd much rather have the fantastic actress Caitriona Balfe. Sam Heughan is perfection.

I felt the same smitten I love the books so much I had a lot of trepidation about the show. But they've really done justice to the books. Also Claire should really be older too. But she really does such a great job, I guess we can't have everything! (and yeah Sam ... perfection. I couldn't imagine a better actor for the part.)

Yes, I saw the episode today where she says she's 27? I thought she was older than that in the books. Of course, I would have thought 27 was old when I read them. I did remember Jamie's shock and the point the book made that she looked so much younger because of how different people aged in modern times. Is it ever pointed out in the show that Jamie is only 22/23?
My biggest realization is that I love Claire and Jamie and they've re-created that magic in the show. I find that I don't really care what else they change.
ETA: How on earth was Sam Heughan not nominated for more awards. He's a remarkable actor.

I just watched the first episode! It did not disappoint. Cait is so beautiful (and so is Sam). Tobias is such a great actor. I'm really excited for the political intrigue that lies ahead.

I found the S2 premiere slow. Well acted, of course, but slow. But I can accept it was probably necessary to lay the groundwork for the rest of the season.
I miss Angus and Rupert already!
