I'd forgotten how much I like James Spader, so I caught up with this online. I'm liking it so far, just wish the writing was a little better. And I wish they would give Parminder Nagra more to do.

The gunshot/cut to black ending of the last episode was pretty suspenseful. Who is the mole? Who will die next? Can't wait for the nest episode!

That was a great cliffhanger, I'm looking forward to tonight. Great scenes between Red and Ressler, and Red vs. Anslo Garrick. Keen is still underwhelming.

OMG I'm so glad I watched this today. I didn't even realize an hour had passed by, I was waiting for Keen to get it together and save the day when the screen went black.
ETA: Spader reminded me today exactly why he's motherf*cking James Spader. His breakdown of how Garrick would (and did) penetrate the site, his conversations with Ressler about Brussels and what he wanted from his future... That was some good sh*t. Great TV.

So, when will this be back? The warning to be careful of her husband was ominous. I side-eyed my own husband.

That two-parter effing rocked. I think it comes back Jan. 13th. Everyone really stepped up, and Spader is the man. When he was sitting in that folding chair across from Alan Alda, he made himself look so small, and even though I knew it was coming, when Red did what he did to Garrick - that was completely awesome.
I am glad Keen finally asked the question, I hope Red's reply was honest. And yeah, her husband is totally up to no good.

Red is her father. He doesn't react to her they way a lover would. The fact she asked and he had that dramatic pause totally convinced me of this. Now, the Liz/Red shippers are saying he said it that way because he actually killed her real & surrogate father, but too much stuff connects these two for it to be all about romance. I don't get that vibe.
I think Meera is the mole. For a kick ass, torturing CIA agent, she was rather passive in this episode. And the whole operation screamed CIA, especially with Alan Alda popping up at the end.
Spader knocked it out of the park. Cannot wait for this to return.

Spader really was great in this one. That's how you want to go out midseason.
I know I'm repeating myself but isn't the father thing too obvious and trope-ish?
I also read somewhere that Spader's wearing a bald cap & Keen is wearing a wig that's stirred up some folks b/c it looks fake. I'm always too distracted by her glazed moon eyes to think about her hair, but I was shallowly glad to hear Spader didn't shave his head for this.
What is the deal with her hubby? Who is the mole? Gaaah.

Gaaah. I think the father thing is really obvious too, even Spader said he kind of hopes that isn't it. Boone is definitely wearing a wig, and Spader said in an interview he is shaving his head and was relieved to do it, after having long hair in his last few jobs. Makes sense, his looks very natural and hers you can see the netting at times. Not sure why the internet spazzed out over her wig. I mean the explosions looks fake sometimes too. It's tv budget.

I forget the source, but a showrunner was like, "the wig thing will be resolved," comparing it to Felicity's haircut (which I remember being a hilariously big deal).
