Never read the books, no real desire to see the movie but I've watched the trailer a few times because I really love the suit the assistant/secretary is wearing when she brings Dakota Fanning into his office. I wonder who makes it.

I think it is the curly hair. I am sorry but dudes with curly hair will never be threatening or aggressive.

The trailer played before the movie I saw tonight, and everyone laughed. My faith in humanity has been restored.

The problem here is that the actors who were better suited for the role didn't want it. I don't know what the situation was with the casting of Anastasia, but the fact that the one who "won" the role happens to be the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith is too funny. It's like it's her destiny to carry on her parents' trashy-cheese legacy.

I don't know what the book version is supposed to look like... Well, since creepy EL James wrote the book because she was fantasizing about Robert Pattinson, I'd say...Robert Pattinson. I didn't read the books, but read parts of the fan fic before she just changed the names, but I don't recall "Anastasia" (aka Bella) having EL's exact hairstyle. Way to add to the creep factor, Erika.

I wonder who makes it. And the producers/editing team have achieved their goal for the target audience. (Oops!)

Some of us here may not be thrilled with the trailer but it has nearly 14 million views in 3 days @ youtube. I thought the trailer was terrible, but I watched it 3 times. The second time was to hear the 'Crazy in Love' remix again. And then I watched it again with a co-worker so we could snark on it.

The thought of RPattz playing Christian Grey makes me laugh every time I think about it.

Some of us here may not be thrilled with the trailer but it has nearly 14 million views in 3 days @ youtube. I only watched the trailer to hear the Beyonce song, which I know I will download when it becomes available. I don't think this movie will do well because, for me, fantasy is better when it's in print; in my mind I can picture the characters. What bugs me about this is all the snobbery; people saying, "Ugh, how could anybody read this?" And there is a bit of sexism in there as well, like what turns women on is stupid as opposed to what turns men on. I just detest intellectual snobbery, the books were badly written and the third book was boring as all hell but people read them. Maybe instead of bashing stuff, people should ask themselves why these books did so well, what is it about these books that moved people? I think that's a more fair question than, "Why would anybody want to see this movie?"
