I hope Jamie Dornan doesn't sign on for the sequel, if there is one. I read an interview with him in the latest Elle (?) where he sounds pretty clueless about the book's genesis, history, and controversy. If so, tough for him, he should have done more research beforehand.

I heard the sequel has already been greenlit and is set to start filming in June.

If this movie kills Jamie Dornan's career, I will be both sad and pissed. He has paid his dues and showed he has some serious chops, and I really thought he'd be the one getting the good reviews for this. I think he may have seen this as his big "Hollywood" breakthrough (despite the awesomeness of his Hook role on OUAT and his stellar turn on The Fall) and taken it just for that. But he's out of his element without his beard and his accent, and the material sucks. I agree that he needs to fire his agent. I will go see this movie tomorrow solely to support him, and because my BFF is dragging me, she paid for the tickets and her hubby is babysitting our kids. The books REALLY sucked.

Ito the people who have seen it, does he say "laters, baby" in the movie? That was just as annoying to me as the Inner Goddess. Oh yeah. He says it multiple times. Also, they are totally making the whole freakin' series. And it's weird. I was expecting her to bomb given how bad she is in interviews, and for him to be okay to great given how people talk him up. But I guess she just isn't comfortable doing press. She was fine in the movie.

He didn't play Hook on OUAT. He was Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman that Regina killed in season 1.

Jamie said after he visited S&M clubs to research the role, he took a long shower before he would touch his wife or daughter. I read that and was like, Dude, your wife used to be married to Colin Farrell. She's the one who should still be showering.

Dornan would have to be living under a rock, under 100 feet of concrete to not know about 50 Shades of Grey. He decided to take the job because he wanted the role and the money and the recognition. There's no pleading ignorance. Especially after Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the role. So I don't feel sorry for him, Sam Taylor-Johnson, or Dakota.

Watching that NSFW clip just boggles my mind how non-porn films (okay, R-rated/border soft porn) are made with actors and have things done in a tasteful, don't touch the merchandise sort of way. Totally could never pull that off if I was an actress.
Is it wrong that I was more grossed out by Dakota's beyond skeleton ribs/body? *shudder* Girlfriend, you need to actually eat a wee bit more, please or do something to build muscle and look more toned. Because that was just not a good look for you.
