From the clip I saw (him talking about his walk) he's very self-deprecating, charming and funny. Not sure how that will translate to Christian Grey, but it made me think he'll be quite an asset for promotion.

I really liked Dornan in Once Upon a Time, I was bummed when he got killed off so quickly, but I remember there was always a charm to how he played The Hunter, even though he was basically the Evil Witch's errand boy.

Yeah, he surprised me on Graham. It always helps when you can poke fun at yourself. And from the sounds of it, he too doesn't exactly have the highest expectations for the movie. The PR machine may really need his rather charming self-deprecating person to go on a charm offensive when the movie is released.

Dakota Johnson recently said she was perfect for the role, because she was "shameless." Did anyone see 9 1/2 Weeks with Kim Basinger and Micky Rourke? How were the sex scenes in that? I hated that movie. The only even remotely interesting scene for me was when she was dancing around to "You can leave your hat on" by Joe Cocker (which by the way is awesome live!) Otherwise, I spent pretty much the entire movie rolling my eyes at her and wanting to beat the ever living crap out of him. I suspect my opinion is in the minority though as most people seem to like that movie.

Oh dear, Jamie Dornan is on the Graham Norton show... (I love the Graham Norton Show.) Okay, this is the first time I've (knowingly) seen this Jamie guy in action and now I get it. He's good looking, funny, and utterly charming... ...which makes me all the sadder that he's involved with this sexual clown car of a movie. Poor fella. He's going to be followed by the worst kinds of stans.

He was absolutely charming on TGNS. Loved him. Still not enough to convince me to see 50 Shades.

Yes! So perfect! I really need to figure out ways to work "sexual clown car of a movie" into conversation as much as possible! I'm still laughing.
Then, I read highondegrassi's sig line about Jared Leto, and busted up all over again. Man, I love this board!

How were the sex scenes in that? 9 1/2 Weeks is a classic. The director's cut is awesome; there's a scene in there that didn't make it to the theatrical version (which I also saw). To me it showed just what a sick codependent relationship looks like. I thought the sex scenes were hot because of the chemistry, not because of the sex itself. Every time I see that movie, I get something else out of it. The last time I saw it, I jumped at the end when he told her something like, "you could have said stop at any time." That was chilling because I realized it never occurred to her that she could tell him that; and he kept pushing the boundaries and pushing her until she finally did tell him to fuck off and left, and he was like, "WTF?" Sick, sick shit.
