Seriously considering seeing this movie because of Jamie Dornan. I haven't read the books (and don't intend to) but he was really good (and so disturbingly sexy) in The Fall and very charming in interviews.
I'll just bring some liquor with me.

Just don't turn it into a drinking game and take a snort every time Ana says "oh my gosh!" or "double crap!" or you'll end up in the ER.

Weeelll, the person Ana is really meant to look like is Kirsten Stewart, so I guess Lucy is off mark.
Anyway, I think Dakota is a better actress than Lucy Hale, so that might have played into it. Their casting choices are actually one of the things that makes me think this might not be a complete piece of crap (as the books are). If they have chemistry, and the director gets rid of some of the most obvious bullshit, maybe it could work.
Maybe? Probably not, but I'll still see the first one for Jamie.

I am leaning the same way - I will watch it because I find Dornan to be really hot - but I might wait until it is out on video so I can mute all of the secondhand embarrassment away.

I don't think I can bear to support this with money. So I will be waiting to watch it with booze off of Netflix. The parts I have read and what I know about the story is so offensively awful and anti-women that I don't think I could take it without being able to shit-talk it the whole way through with friends.
And is Dakota a good actress? I have never seen her in anything. Lucy Hale is pretty decent, however. She's not given much to do on Pretty Little Liars, but people have been very impressed with her ability on other shows she's been on. I kind of doubt that she will ever break into movies fully, but I could see her having a strong career in TV.
That said, I could see why they auditioned her. Her character on PLL has a hella creepy relationship with a teacher. The show plays it off like it's the height of romance, but if you look at it like a rational adult (because the teen fans certainly see it that way), what is really happening is a vulnerable teenage girl is with a sad, emotionally stunted creepy 30-something guy who has a history of dating 15-16 year olds. Yeah.

Meh, maybe she's not. I thought Dakota was good on that sitcom she was on, but I've only ever seen her in comedies. I've seen most of Pretty little liars, and haven't been impressed by any of the girls' acting chops, but could be the writing working against them.

A 15-second teaser to the upcoming trailer.

Great. So we're at the point now where we are creating teasers for trailers? That was 15 seconds of panting and body-model shots, LOL!

I can't link to it but Celebitchy has a story about another Charlie Hunnam interview about dropping out of this pile. This guy gets more questions about FSOG than about the television show he's done for 7 years or any of his other films. And he's not even in the freaking movie! Please journalists let him move on and stop asking him about it. He's always gracious and positive in his statements but he's got to be getting sick of it. He's got other, better projects.
