I always assumed the Olivia/Harry thing was PR when it rolled out, because that tabloid exclusive was ridiculous. (Why were there clear paparazzi photos of a small wedding of Harry’s manager, on private property…during a peak time in the pandemic in California…and they had quotes from like, James Corden.) How messy to announce this romance and not keep it quiet and contained at least until the movie wrapped, if not for attention? For themselves or for the movie?

It sounds like it was a messy set in several ways - Covid protocol rumor, a director/star romance, the Shia stuff that’s been uncovered.

I saw my favorite tweet today, which is Charlie Day from IWSIP in front of the Homeland pin board in full on conspiracy theory (you've seen it) that reads: "Don't you get it? There is no Don't Worry Darling. All of this is the movie. The trailer, the fueds, the relationship, the custody papers, the press, spitting on Chris Pine, kissing Nick Kroll, all of this is the movie."

If so, pretty entertaining.

I barely know who Harry Styles is, so I tend to read more about what Olivia's up to than him. And she strikes me as someone who wants the world to know how in love she is every time she has a new guy. (See also: Saying in a public speech shortly after getting together with Jason Sudeikis that they were having sex like Kenyan marathon runners.) I know she's been following Harry around the world and showing up at his shows dancing in the audience, and I feel like she has no desire to keep a lid on it at all. And maybe part of showing off the relationship with her hot young guy is revenge against Jason Sudeikis.

(She also seems to me like someone who runs hot and cold, and when she breaks up with someone, forgets completely that she used to adore the guy. She also said, in public, that "her vagina died" when she was married to her first husband. Now it's Jason Sudeikis's turn.)

I came for the Harry Styles photos in this premiere, but stayed for the Chris Pine. He is killing me (in a good way) with his facial expressions in this media push.

I, on the other hand, barely know who she is and this is what I remember about her! The marathon runner quote. TMI!

And yes, she’s been dancing at his concerts, which annoys his fans, but that doesn’t take much.

I do not get the hype over Harry Styles. He has some catchy songs. He looks like he could be the cover boy on Lisa Simpson’s “Non threatening boys” magazine. I don’t see any sexiness. He looks like he just finished high school.

I really like Harry’s music a lot and like him just fine, but man, his fans are something else. And they are making him annoying, by proxy.

I have actively disliked Olivia since she was on The OC, and nothing has changed in that deptartment.

Sometimes, from some angles, I get a River Phoenix vibe from Harry Styles. That seems to be enough to make me like him.
