My husband walked in our bedroom last night and said that there was a throuple on House Hunters. I did not know that term so I learned something new.
I missed the drama surrounding them but I am really, REALLY not a fan of Tarek and Christina -- their style or personalities.

She is so thirsty, but even style-wise, I just dislike her aesthetic. The whole chandeliers, blue cabinets, everything open concept screams "I googled 'what's popular' and now made them my go-to's." Lately I've been watching My Lottery Dream Home. I don't know why, but I really like David. He's just such a happy, positive person--or at least that's how he presents himself on the show.

I love David! We used to watch him on Color Splash.

David's an absolute doll! I don't care for his current show, though. The few eps I watched, the families all wanted and bought McMansions. Boring.
I've been on a big Love It or List It kick lately. Hillary's decorating can get a little repetitive, but it's fun to see the huge transformations in terms of construction, additions, etc.

The listing guy on Love It or List It is like Wile E. Coyote to me, I NEVER see an episode where the family decides to list it. What's funny is that my mom says she never sees episodes where the family keeps the original house, so I guess I have a skewed perception of his success rate! It should be said neither of us are particularly avid watchers.

I read somewhere that Love It or List It films two different endings, then picks one of them. It's entertainment.

I'm watching Unsellable Houses about a set of twin real estate agents who work in the Pacific Northwest. They're women and I love them. I also saw an episode of I think it was called Generation Renovation which is Eve Plumb from the Brady Bunch and a team that work on family holiday houses. They update them but keep them retro.
Did anyone hear the Kortney and Dave Wilson from Masters of Flip are getting a divorce. They have a new show as well. It must be hard to work together in the middle of a divorce. It was super awkward with Tarek and Christina. Super awkward.

Oh man, that one suuuper awkward season of Flip or Flop was pretty cringy to watch. I will admit that FoF is my guilty pleasure, mostly because I lived in Orange County for 12 years so know exactly where all their houses are. I love that they show a shot of Newport Harbor, when the actual house is 20 miles away up in the hills. Also like hate-watching Christina remove any spec of actual charm the house may have with her crappy blinged out designs.
I liked Love it or List it when it was set in Toronto, but quit watching when they moved to North Carolina(?) I guess it got old that every "semi-detached" house was worth 2.5 million dollars.
Lately I've been watching Love or List it 2, but they were having the same problem in Vancouver that every house was worth close to 2 million. They seem to have moved further out into the suburbs so the houses are back down under a million.

"I was thinking this back splash (insert photo of super-busy design with some shade of blue), and this countertop (pic of white marble with glitter in it) and then we finish it off with this statement chandelier," all said with that horrific vocal-fry she's got going.
