Brookie, I'm glad to hear that--like, seriously relieved. Nicole Curtis has had some bad press and a lot of haters, but I can't help but really like her scrappy, hard-working persona and the show.
Pitch for possibly the most boring show on HGTV: Low-Maintenace Local, or how to landscape on a budget with local, non-invasive and pollinator friendly plants. Each episode will also have practical tips on things like negotiating with one's spouse about how much to trim, how to attract both toads and frogs, the difference between trimming and indiscriminate hacking, and the appropriate number of bird houses.

I went down a rabbit hole with Nicole Curtis one day.
They ran a couple episodes of her re-doing her grandparents' house. As someone who lives in a house my grandfather built, I was hooked. I loved that she intercut 8mm home movies of her grandparents building the house.
Just watched a couple eps of FoF Atlanta. Why does she ALWAYS paint brick?? The whole point of brick is low maintenance. Paint equals eventual REpainting!

I also loved how NIcole decorated with the prints of her grandparents at parties.

I love Nicole Curtis, she just seems very cool. We don't get FYI (FiOS is fucked up y'all) but I've seen reruns on HGTV, and it's pretty good.

There's a thruple on House Hunters right now. Life is so weird and awesome. I saw this headline on People's page this morning and am excited to watch! I watch a lot of HGTV and they do seem to try and be inclusive; I've seen quite a few gay couples, but yeah, this is another step for them.

I agree! It was very exciting. Maybe HGTV will do for polyamory what I think it did for the homosexuals: NORMALIZE differences in relationship styles. (I saw that Roxane Gay tweeted pretty much the exact same thing I typed here at pretty much the exact same time last night. So, we'll probably go ahead and become besties at some point soon. )

There's a thruple on House Hunters right now. Life is so weird and awesome. Thank you for bumping up this thread. I have to admit I'm very salty because now it seems HGTV rarely shows House Hunters at 10:00PM EST like they have been for years. My nightly routine was usually to watch the hour bloc of that, and then watch the local news, but now there's usually one of there new makeover shows. Normally I wouldn't care if the makeover shows were any good, but I'm so tired of every show being such a copy of each other, and everyone trying to become a big star like Chip and Joanna or the Property Brothers.
