A write-up on Laist.com: Mayim Bialik features a catch-all of the past 24 hours of backlash over Mayim's blog entry. I love that people are "graffiti"-ing up Ariana's billboards to make it look like she's more covered up and blaming Mayim for it. Hee! And they focus on her, "my blog entry was just social commentary! Have a sense of humor!" twitter comment. But the best part is where they show her dressed up just as sexy as Ariana from her Blossom days for a sexy photoshoot. Where's Six when you need her to slap Blossom out of this mess?

Oh, Six. She's probably off somewhere stalking Joey.

Oh, Six. She's probably off somewhere stalking Joey. Eh, not so much once Joey got married. But at least I enjoy her blog for PEOPLE magazine online a lot better than Mayim's.

Joey got married on the show? Or are you letting reality get in the way of my imagination? I was wondering what Jenna Von Oy was up to! So she's at People? Interesting. She was in a bunch of made for TV movies, then I stopped seeing her around my trashy viewing pleasure. I assumed she retired and was raising kids/being chill somewhere.

He didn't get married on the show, but got engaged to his girlfriend. My understanding was they did indeed tie the knot. Jenna's "Moms & Babies" Blog on People.com. She's also due to have a second child in November. She was raised in Newton, CT and was/is very involved with that community (she got married there a few years ago, too) and has helped after the wake of the Newton shootings. I've always liked Jenna, too.

There's a problem with your link. Here it is. Amanda Peet is, once again, making sense. It must be horrible for her to parent in that atmosphere. It's not as if these types of outbreaks are a new phenomenon. It's happened time and time again when preventative public health measures are ignored.

The link took some time to load, but I'm glad it did. I love the snark like this: Wow.
I found out from a Google search that Amanda Peet's oldest daughter had contracted whooping cough as a baby (when she was too young for vaccinations). No wonder she's pro-vaccination and has no time for this malarkey.
I wonder whether Mayim is planning to homeschool her children. Why can't parents who don't want to submit their kids for vaccinations* choose to homeschool their kids?
P.S. [*I feel for those parents whose kids are allergic to components of the vaccine and those who have legitimate religious convictions, but many of the parents who are part of this new wave? Nope.]
P.P.S. I wonder how higher education will be impacted in 15-18 years when this generation of kids are ready to go to college.
ETA: @highondegrassi - Some nurses who declined mandatory vaccines (e.g. flu shots) are allowed to wear masks. Others, like Dreonna Breton, were fired for declining a flu shot.
Colleges often require at least the MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) shot, and maybe Hepatitis B.

I was wondering that too. Meningitis vaccinations are often required, at least to live in a dorm. Will these kids have their choice of schools narrowed and/or be forced to live off campus? These kids will have to narrow their career choices as well since most nursing students and healthcare professionals are required to be vaccinated. I'm curious how these parents would feel about the idea of doctors and nurses roaming around hospital hallways having the right to choose not to be vaccinated. How insane would that be?? There's a NOVA episode about vaccinations that addressed the issue dispassionately and avoided any mention of Hollywood stars. There was a segment about the oral polio vaccine, which is no longer used. News to me! I requested the injection when my kids were scheduled back in the 90s and caught shit for it, and years later I caught shit for refusing the H1N1 vaccine. So it's not like I'm all for blindly trusting medical professionals. But at some point, facts are facts are facts. I can understand how a Jenny McCarthy can buy into bullshit and stubbornly stick to it. Someone like Mayim Bialik? Not so much. I just don't get it. As far as I can tell (from googling), she's never elaborated. That's all well and good, but it's clear someone like Mayim can find herself a like-minded physician and other wealthy families can do this as well. So I don't see how this requirement will change things much.
