I think The Fault in Our Stars is going to be huge and Divergent has made a decent amount of money. She's not going to knock JLaw of her perch anytime soon, but Shailene's not the next Lily Collins, either. She's an utterly clueless, dippy flake who was bound to catch serious heat for the idiocy that comes out of her mouth at some point, but mad respect for her for rising above the utter crapfest that was The Secret Life of the American Teenager. That show was an epic vortex of suck.

She was on Entertainment Weekly promoting that and now she's on the cover for TFIOS they do seem to be trying hard. She seems bland.

I think Gloria Swanson exposed her hoohah to the sun for some sort of health reason FIRST, so in your face Shailene.

I saw approximately two episodes of the Secret Life of the American Teen, and that sucked, and her interview in BUST was definitely...a gif of a person making a WTF face. I'm hippie-inclined, and she sounds kind of harmless, but she also seems to have a raging case of detached and clueless. Fortunately, both of those are fairly easy to fix.

Because I love to hate her, I had to go seek out this article, and yeah. What stands out to me is how forced her precocious hippie free-spiritedness is, and how self-satisfied she seems. I reminded myself that we all know everything when we're her age, and then she says things like, "My whole thing with women is to inspire them to have strength." and I want to punch her.
