Well I just had a lovely run-in with Glark. It was over something really minor and he was a total ass about it. I won’t be back to that site.

A few forums are having flare ups of clashes between posters, so I guess the honeymoon is ending. I also see that they are looking for more mods, so they're probably having more traffic since TWOP closed. I figured that the original three were enjoying the site right now, because it is small and managable, maybe like MBTV when it started? But I figured when managing/modding got to be a chore they'd revert to their old ways.

Fortunately most of my shows are small-traffic forums. The one that is huge has the different types of fans funneled and segregated into different threads and sub-forums and there isn't much cross-pollination. So far so good.

Well I just had a lovely run-in with Glark. It was over something really minor and he was a total ass about it. I won’t be back to that site. I'd be interested in knowing the particulars, if you are willing to share. I was just on EHell, and the mod was thisclose to banning someone for bolding key words for emphasis in her posts. I do this here because I write with an iPhone, and don't have access to italics. So does this bug people? Enough for a banning? Or is EHell lady cray cray? And are most of this banning for minor little shit stuff? |

famvir, I go on Ehell all the time, and the mod hates posts with capitalized words. This "no shouting!" thing drives me bananas. It's one thing to forbid this:
"And then he said 'BLAH BLAH YADDA YADDA' and I said "OH YEAH? WELL, SAME TO YOU, BUDDY!"
Although even that doesn't seem like a big deal to me. It's another thing entirely to get pissy about something like "I cannot STAND it when so-and-so does this."
I post from my iPad all the time, and using bolding is tricky.
So, to answer your question, I believe that EHell lady is indeed cray-cray. She also gets very angry if someone accidentally posts about a topic that she's forbidden and then doesn't delete the post.

How do you even keep up with it shalamar? I wouldn't be around enough to know if I was asked to delete a post. Why doesn't she delete the post? Oh well, I've never been good at this posting thing. I've been banned three times from TWoP, and I don't post that much or even know why I was banned. Oh well, I mostly lurk on PTV, so I should be fine...for now.

I was thinking this new site was so refreshing. No annoying boards on boards rules. No having to type IMO in front of every sentence. Serious lack of racism and sexism. But, if they are bringing on more mods, ugh. Expect TWOP Howard to be back with a complete stick up her ass.
