RIP to Mr. Boseman. Gone far too soon. 2020, you can stop anytime now. I just saw the news on Facebook, and I agree that 2020 just needs to stop. I’m just devastated and speechless. I had no idea he was sick or had been battling cancer for that long. It really felt like he had decades of being on top in Hollywood ahead of him after the huge success of Black Panther and then the praise for Da 5 Bloods. It's all the potential that he had ahead of him that is so sad. Fuck cancer. |

His family's press release will destroy you. It basically said he was diagnosed in 2016 and made like 5 or 6 movies in between surgeries and chemotherapy.

I literally gasped when I saw the news. Four years is a long fight. He was so young with such a bright future. Fuck cancer.

My mouth dropped open. I can’t believe how productive he was while ill. He was an excellent Black Panther. RIP.

I gasped when I saw. When I read the headline I assumed it was all very fast, I couldn’t believe he had been battling this for 4 years, all along filming movies. He made an Instagram video in April where he was very thin, I just don’t think anyone put it together. Rest in power King.

I can only hope that if I am ever cursed with cancer, I would face my fight with even a minuscule amount of the dignity and courage he brought to battle.
