Okay, wanting to dress up as Freddy or Jason as a small kid is pretty funny, but I don't get the HBC reference. Did she ever play a serial killer? ETA: Oh, is she talking about her character in Sweeney Todd? I just don't associate that play with her or Johnny Depp, I guess. It's been around long enough that it's its own thing. Someone Ariana's age would probably first think of HBC as Bellatrix from the Harry Potter movies and yeah, a dark, crazy character. Though I do agree that she sounds a lot like a squeaky-clean star desperate to seem "edgy". |

Oh yeah! Of course. I always felt the Harry Potter series was a big ball of miscasting, so I tend to forget who played the grownups. When I think of HBC, I think of Tim Burton movies, Fight Club, and Shakespeare. LOL.

Recently there have been stories about Ariana pulling a diva act over only being shot from her left side - her "good side". ( Giuliana Rancic confirmed that when she interviewed Ariana for E!, Ariana asked for sides to be switched so she can be shot from her good side.) Man, she's taking this being the new Mariah thing too seriously*... (*Yes, I know that Mimi's "good side" is actually the right side of her face.  ) |

In the video she doesn't seem shy about showing both sides of her face. I remember an interview Mariah did on TRL where she was laying on the floor contorted into a particular position that she would.not.change. She looked so uncomfortable! Ariana doesn't seem to take the desire to be seen from her best side nearly as seriously.
