My only quibble- I can't really buy 1st year law students being the bulk of a famed attorney's student crew. If they were grad students, it would be more believable to me. Maybe that's all a part of her molding/manipulation. Get 'em while they're young! I don't watch Scandal, but from all the previews I've seen of it, HtGAWM seems to have the right feel/tone to accompany it. I'm glad it made ratings.

I definitely think it's an episode you need to watch twice. Made the mistake of watching this with my mom while playing with my phone. This is the type of show I need to watch unplugged and alone. Loved the first episode!

I'm just glad it finally aired, since I was so sick of the promo. It was great the first dozen times - Viola Davis rocking the burgundy leather jacket, purring "how to get... away... with murder - but the next 100 times were a bit much. Thank you, CTV promo monkeys.
Luckily the show itself lived up to the hype.

All law students, including 1Ls, are grad students. ETA: I will say that I was completely confused when the Viola Davis character said that she was going to hire some of the students into her firm. It sounded like she meant as practicing attorneys. Uh, don't attorneys have to finish law school and pass the bar exam? If she said as interns, which would make slightly more sense, I missed it.

Watched the pilot yesterday and really liked it! Annaliese is a piece of work but that's what makes her so much fun to watch.
Like others I was stunned at the reveal of the body. Can't wait to find out what lead to Sam's death (though I bet Wes's suggested defense of Stockholm Syndrome was foreshadowing)!
Taking bets Sam was having an affair with the murdered student. Annaliese's "I bet the boyfriend did it" with that look? CHILLS! Also, Bonnie wants either Sam or Annaliese. Can't figure out which one.
ETA: I'm also surprised ABC allowed a fairly steamy gay sex scene with two guys and hints of a woman receiving oral sex on the air!

I have Charter for my Cable, and it mysteriously is not available On Demand, unlike almost every other ABC show. I'm annoyed.

So I tried to watch How to Get Away with Murder this weekend and I didn't get past the first two minutes. Alfred Enoch is giving me C.Thomas Howell-in-Soul-Man realness and I CAN'T. That (and what seemed like bad acting from the young cast) put me off the show completely. Dumbest reason ever to quit a show!

THAT'S what it was! I kept trying to figure out why I wanted to punch him in the face when he hadn't really done anything. That and he always has the deer in the headlights/surprised! face happening. Boo. I can't believe Andie McPhee from Dawson's Creek is in this. Ha.
