I'm also surprised ABC allowed a fairly steamy gay sex scene with two guys and hints of a woman receiving oral sex on the air! Ditto! They've had two such gay sex scenes and a fairly steamy interracial one as well. Most network shows have no problem presenting interracial relationships and gay characters, but they rarely show them getting it on. It's like that's somehow a step too far. Guess cable and streaming are forcing the issue! They have no prob showing any of that in those arenas.

She is? I have been watching and haven't seen her and she isn't listed in the credits anywhere. Who did she play? Ha. I lied. It's Paris from Gilmore Girls.

It's actually only about half of Paris. The actress has lost wayyyy too much weight, she is gaunt. And that platinum hair isn't doing her any favours. I do like how she usually plays hardasses, though; she can always bring it.

I'm so confused now. Who killed the husband?! One thing I'm clear about: for that final scene of Annalise taking her makeup and wig off, Viola deserves an Emmy. She made that scene powerful and meaningful.
I am legitimately surprised ABC hasn't been bombarded with threats of boycotts over our weekly sex scenes with Connor. I ain't mad at him. Well, I am a little bit because he hurt Oliver. Bad Connor! Bad!

Viola taking off her wig, and all her makeup on camera? Pretty powerful scene. For me personally it tied into Annaliese's clients comments that despite know her for so many years, she knows nothing about her. Annaliese, was essentially stripping herself of her armour in that scene. Then the "Why is your penis on the dead girl's phone?" I damn near fell over! I did not see that coming!
I praise the network for showing a same sex, interracial sex scene, going well beyond just a quick peck and hand holding, but I'm getting tired of the same guy getting laid all the time. (Can't someone else get some too? The students are all wound pretty tight and need to get laid!)

The last scene was good but also completely ripped off Dangerous Liaisons where Glenn Close did the exact same thing at the end of that movie.
The other law students seem to get some action too, or are about too. Michaela got it on with her fiance last week, Wesley is about to get it on with Rebecca based on the flash-forwards, and Laurel(?) is going to hook up with Frank.

What came first, Dangerous Liaisons or Annie Lenox's "Why" video where she did the same thing, take off her make up? How do we even know the writers saw Dangerous Liaisons?

Dangerous Liaisons came out about 1988, and Annie Lennox's Why came out in 1992.
I seem to recall the scene with Glenn Close and the makeup was part of one of the trailers, so someone could have 'absorbed' it without ever seeing the film.

That scene in Dangerous Liasons was amazing. I haven't watched that movie in ages, and I still recall it--all of her scheming, planning, shock...and suddenly it's all fallen apart. So she's plotting and planning her way back up, but it will not be the same as before.
I didn't get that out of this scene in HTGAWM. Instead it felt more like she was finally letting down guard and showing her true self for the first time on the show. But you know that tomorrow everything will be back into place.
