I was most definitely not expecting that character to get killed off so quickly.
This is most intriguing. It must be some sinister government experiment.

This show has me confused and paranoid. Felt like an hour of crazy pills!

I vote for:
1. Government experiment 2. SuperMax prison 3. Training exercise

I vote for: 1. Government experiment 2. SuperMax prison 3. Training exercise Think it's Government experiment/ Training exercise. Anyone else remember when Matt Dillon was a teen heartthrob?

I vote for government experiment, too (and second the comment about not exactly that person to get killed the other night). I do, I do! I'm also known to randomly yell out "let's do it for Johnny!"

I remember him being a teen heartthrob, but didn't get it at the time. Oddly, though, I find him much more attractive now in his adult form.
Ooo! Still haven't seen the show yet, but just found out the theme is by a Dutch act, The Common Linnets. They were the Dutch entry for last year's Eurovision and came in second. Cool!

I'm curious about the time confusion with Juliette Lewis's character. With the throwback fashion and strange mix of technologies from different times I'm thinking that might be part of the broader story. Maybe people get stuck in the particular time they are kidnapped? But Kate is looking very 50's and she was kidnapped recently.

Is that 'programmed' in while people are blacked out from their arrival 'accidents'? But then, why leave Ethan & his family in the 'now'. Unless his brain clot operation was to program that in & they never got around to I?. Colour me definitely confused. It is taking some effort to not crack & just read the book to figure it out already!

I know! And that creature that took Terrence Howard's body? WTF was that?! I love how unpredictable this show is with killing off main characters. The basic rule is when you recognize an actor they will survive, but not with this show. I was shocked to see Juliette Lewis gone so quickly and really surprised that the super-bad guy Terrence Howard followed her so quickly.

I just hate that they've gone with the annoying trope of no one asking the right questions.
When Matt Dillon has clued in that this is not an ordinary town and people are being kept against their will and that Terrence Howard knows, why wouldn't he ask "Why?" That would be my first question. Followed by who is doing this, what is the endgame, do people on the outside know, how did it happen, why not tell us the truth so we can work together, why me, etc.
And if there is some kind of time-jump, earth-wide issue to be protected from, can other people on the outside be protected too?
