I'm enjoying this. It's creepy.
I'm not thrilled about watching Dascha Polanco saunter around rolling her eyes just like she does on Orange is the New Black.
Penelope Cruz is far too beautiful to be playing Donatella Versace.
And I have a big problem with the fake duct tape they are using. If you wrap duct tape around your hair, it's going to pull your hair out!

I'm not loving this yet, but I'm liking it well enough to keep watching. Darren Criss is soooo creepy as Cunanan and Edgar Rodriguez and Ricky Martin are hitting all the right notes with me. One problem: Penelope Cruz. I always have a problem with her accent and I think she's doing an even heavier one playing Donatella and it's not working for me.
I'm surprised the show is going there with basically saying Gianni had HIV when that's never been confirmed.

This is on FX, correct? I've missed the first episodes but I want to watch. I can't find this on my cable On Demand, Hulu, Amazon, etc.

It's look she took her own Spanish accent and added on an Italian accent over top it. There are a ton of "sh" sounds in there and that's not Italian. Versace's family objected to the HIV thing. They say he had ear cancer. |

Penelope is annoying the crap out of me.
The second episode was too much. I hope the 3rd is better.
I do like how much Darren Criss gets to emphasize his half-Filipino-ness in interviews and talk shows though.

Well, that was a morbid and depressing episode. So much self-hatred.
I work with a lot of Filipinos, and my Boss is one, herself, and one thing I have noticed about them is how much they are all about Family. Every little event is a celebration with the generations, they travel as family together, they do weekends together. They are very pro-family. What in the world happened in the Cunanan family to bring about this monster? I guess we'll get to that in the final episodes.

My favorite episode so far. Judith Light and Mike Farrell were amazing. It was a heartbreaking hour but I could have kept watching that episode for much longer.

I didn't care for last night's episode. I thought it dragged. They could have shortened a lot of the long, lingering shots and still have gotten the points across, e.g., I did not need to hear all of the song "Drive".

I don't want to blame the victim, but since much of it was subjective to the show.... Scott made every single Horror Movie Trope possible! Not running away, starting an argument in a moving car, running straight away from a gun, not crying out for help in public spaces... It was a depressing episode, in an increasingly sad season. None of this had to happen.
