Dude, I am an atheist, and even I can appreciate the irony that the loudest Christians aren't really all that Christian. They're completely missing the point. It must be even more maddening for people who share the "same" faith as these people.

I've never actually seen the show, but it's hard not to know about the family. In one of those posts linked to where people were giving the whole family shade, it seems that Josiah is particularly awful in terms of arrogance and rebellion. Does anyone who watches the show know if he seems a potential trouble-maker or liable to break away? Or is he just bratty and cocky?

I've only been able to stomach watching small amounts of the show but from what I've read, most people seem to think that Josiah is gay and since their religion is against gays, he is sad and depressed because he'll be forced to marry and stay in the closet. I'm not sure if him being gay is true or not. Sometimes, it seems that he is; other times, I'd say he's more sensitive/creative and is stifled by his awful "parents." I've seen clips of the show where Jim Bob seems to target him as if he's trying to toughen him up. Either way, I think he's miserable.
I really hope that some of these kids decide to break away instead of living under daddy's rule.

Jana is not married and in her mid 20s, that is considered old aged in that background but I am more convinced than ever she stays around the house to protect the younger girls. I still hope that one day she will bolt, take all of her sisters with her and give them a chance at a normal life.

Eh. It says if you confess and ask for forgiveness then you'll be forgiven. It's the usual claptrap from the Duggars that if Josh prays for forgiveness then he should be forgiven by everyone.
Jessa went on to say:
Sorry, sweetie, but you don't get to minimize what he did just because you're one of his victims.

She's allowed to feel how she feels, but she can't define how other people feel.

I'm glad the brother spoke up. Maybe all the Kellers will get behind Anna and support her instead of laying blame on her. God knows, she needs it. The only reason I can see for her to stay with him is the religious brainwashing she's grown up with. He's not attractive, is an ass, and now doesn't even have a job.

I just wonder how many other scandals will arise from the Duggars. And I'm sure they will arise. The other boys are being raised in the same repressive atmosphere as Josh was.
