So, Gawker is claiming that John David has a pilot license and flew Josh to Rockford, Illinois to drop him off at some Christian rehab called Reformers United. (The Duggars have a private plane?!)

And yes, Anna will now be under Jim Bob's thumb instead of her husband's.

The phrasing of this makes me just shutter. Being with someone doesn't have to be "permanent", as death, divorce and separation can handle that term.

Anna is "Fully and Permanently Committed to Her Marriage"

Bullshit. I can think of many, many women in the Bible that got way more than mad. They were down right pissed. off. and I don't see God smiting them or anything.

on FlightAware, you can see that, on the night of August 24, the Duggars made a trip from Springdale, Arkansas to Rockford, Illinois at 10:45 p.m. Where it stayed for less than ten minutes before turning around and heading right on back to Springdale.

The only kind of counseling that would be appropriate for Anna now is people constantly telling her that in no way, shape or form is this her fault. I don't care how "available" she's been, when a man wants something else, he'll go looking for it.

I don't think Josh has a sex or porn addiction. I believe he's acting out on urges that he was taught to deny his entire life. That's not to say he's excused, or that all fundie men have the same problem. There's something unique about Josh's upbringing and psychology which made his urges worse, but pushing them further down with "rehab" is not going to help.

A lot of people are speculating that Josh was never into the Gothard lifestyle and I think there's some truth to that. I'm sure part of him hoped that JD would drop his ass in the middle of nowhere so he could take on a new identity and leave it all behind.

I don't even think he's acting on denied urges. Take out the Duggar part, and Media Guy In Politics could be Elliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner, that diaper fetish guy, etc. I think he's just drunk on male power and being flush with enough cash do something about it.

When it comes to addiction, I say whatever works. If Jesus keeps you clean, great! The problem with this place is that there is more of an emphasis on group think and little, if any, individual counseling. The other problem is that addiction to porn isn't what led Josh to cheat on his wife and he goddamn well knows that.

People is reporting Anna's sister and have brother have begged her to dump Josh but she's refusing to. Allegedly, she's being pressured by her parents to stay with Josh and make the marriage work. According to People, when Anna's sister asked her father why would he insist on Anna overlooking Josh's indiscretions his response was, "King David had an affair!" *slaps self* Ummm, has Anna's dad ever bothered to look at what happened to David because of that affair? Because God unleashed some serious punishment for it. Granted David committed murder as well but God took serious issue with David's adultery as well.

I would also like to point out even the Bible states adultery is reasonable grounds for divorce.
