Dammit, how long are they going to drag out the "Jack dies, but how?" mystery?

Some good moments but overall that was underwhelming.

Was Jack's monologue played too low, or is it just my hearing? Everything else sounded fine, but his monologue seemed mixed to play at a really low level compared to the music.
Some more TM twists of this show, but they do seem to be dragging out how he died just a little too long. They were saying on the SiriusXM Entertainment Weekly that Dan Futterman called this episode "dangerous", and leading an audience on too long can do that. See also: Dead, The Walking and St,Lo) You've got a buzzy, massive hit on your hands, which will probably grow on binge watching summer episodes. Not manipulate your audience.
On a positive technical note. Bravo! to keeping a two shot on Milo and Mandy during their Big Fight. It really drew in the drama and quality and emotions of their performances, and let each other work off each other. Not done nearly enough in all visual entertainment. I was going to Tweet Dan Futterman that, but apparently he doesn't have Twitter.
Will definitely miss the show in the hiatus.

I was underwhelmed, as well. I did like the morning after the fight's dialogue. Thought Jack, especially, had some good lines (I liked Milo's read of "I never did" when Rebecca mused that she wondered what happened to the date he was supposed to have the night he met her). And I was glad we at least got set-up points for the Big Three to play off of come next season. I'll give it a B-.

I thought it was a great ep, but underwhelming as a finale. Probably because we're all hyped up for a big, emotional death scene...

Even if the season finale was underwhelming, I'm still going to miss this show during the hiatus.

I got no clue as to how Jack died. Did I miss something?

I got no clue as to how Jack died. Did I miss something? Nope, we're all in the dark. It was heavily hinted that he would die in a drunk driving accident, but the immediate risk of his life ending has passed. I was a bit underwhelmed by the episode overall. The argument scene was fantastic and yes, painfully realistic, but a finale should have had a bit more oomph to it.
