I like the show a lot, but I hate that Randall is so disconnected from the other two.

I want a Toby. He is so freakin' awesome.
The guy playing William can absolutely devastate me without saying anything. How is this actor not A-List, mega famous? For the last 40 minutes of the show last night I was crying every 10 minutes.
I agree that I'd like to see more of the twins with Randall. The end of last night's ep, though, got me wondering if he's not Mom's favorite and so the other two bonded even more deeply because of that. It's been a while since I've been so caught up in a show that I really want to find out, AND was okay with it being a slow reveal because there are so many beautiful little moments in between the big ones that I don't want to miss them.
So far this is a home run for me.
And day-um girl! Katie can SING!

Sterling K. Brown is amazing on this show. Even when the storyline is heavy, he can deliver a light-hearted line and have me cracking up. And his smile is swoon-worthy.
I'm looking forward to Kevin/Randall interaction last week. We know they haven't had the best relationship, but both seem to want to change that, so I'd like to see where that goes.

mrspickles I was going to create a thread for this show! You beat me to it.
I'm enjoying it too, and it's similar themes to Parenthood. Toby is the best and the worst, an enabler who can see the forest for the trees. Hunky brother should have just compromised, and taken that whore money and spent it on producing something artistic. Hollywood = Compromise.
I didn't see either of those twists coming.

I didn't recognize Milo Ventimiglia since I haven't seen him since Gilmore Girls, he's all growed up!
I do wish they had cast an older actress for Rebecca in the modern day scenes. Mandy Moore looks like Mandy Moore in some powdery makeup and granny glasses, not a 60-ish woman.
