I didn't realize how much I've missed this show until I was watching last night.

It was a pretty great season opener. I loved how Beth was struggling with the adoption idea and how she came around to how it would work for her. They're such a good team.

YES! And I feel awful because I can't quite put my finger on why I don't like Toby.

Randall and Beth are what the youngins say "#RelationshipGoals" Seriously people, that is how communication should be in relationships. And I love the William voiceovers. I hope we get more, but not too much where I lose appreciation for it.

Superficial of me, but young Kevin is hot. I'd have a crush on him if I was still in high school.

I love them so much. I love that the writers didn't let it fester with her doubts about adoption and they actually talked it out. They really are "perfectly imperfect."

And I hope the William flashbacks are sprinkled throughout the season. His death episode still chokes me up just thinking about it.

Totally hot. But I can't warm to Adult Kevin and Sophie. They just feel contrived to me.

Also, thank god that producer (or whoever) gave Kate the truth about her singing. She's really just OK and she needed to hear that it has nothing to do with her physical appearance.

I still hate Toby. While he may have a point about being left out by Kevin and Kate, he went about like in a really nasty way and made it completely about himself, while ignoring Kate's feelings about the audition completely. I'm just glad they didn't have her apologize to him.

As usual, the non-Toby scenes were wonderful, so glad this show is back.

I did my chores at warp speed (thanks to Thinking Sideways podcast for supercharging me) so that I could have an hour of quiet alone time to watch this morning.

Yay, yay, yay! It's back, and it's still fantastic. Except, of course, for Toby, who is puerile. I didn't care at all for his rant about Kevin and Kate. I'm big on boundaries, but I think when you have a relationship with a twin, you have to understand that there is something very special there, something we don't fully understand, something very powerful, and sometimes you may need to take a backseat when you wouldn't in an ordinary sibling/significant other relationship.

Randall and Beth are both so endearing, I found myself angry at him for telling Beth that she had to accept having another child, but also understanding his deep need to adopt. There is a really cheesy old country song about meeting in the middle that contains the line, "Babe I love the way we work it out." I love the way they work things out. They seem to have achieved the marriage that Jack and Rebecca tried to create.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything but Toby, and I find the Kevin/Sophie reunion very sweet.

I almost cried when he threw away the cake. One does not throw away cake!
