I am so happy Kevin realized something was wrong with Randall.

I'm totally speculating, but I'll put it in a spoiler: {Spoiler}Jack dies in a drunk driving accident. It has to something really tragic, like accidental death, but the focus on his (presumed) alcoholism seems to make that a likely guess. But again, total speculation. I don't know anything. A water park lazy river reception actually kind of does sound fun. I liked Kate & Toby (Kaby? Tote?) discovering each other. And he was not the Jared Leto of Bad Boys. More like the David Hasselhoff of Bad Boys. Smelly cheese.

What a great episode!
Kevin's storyline last night was actually great. I loved his scene with Miguel. And he finally stepped up for Randall. I wonder what will happen with the play and his career.
Kate and Toby are acting in a healthy way and treating each other with kindness and respect! It was good to see.
I love how this show deals with male relationships. It's not often we see genuine friendships or men loving and supporting each other like this.
Rebecca. Keeping secrets about important stuff seems to be her weak spot. I think Jack was justified in his anger.

I really liked the scene with Miguel, mostly because it gave a better understanding, at least for me, of how he and Rebecca ended up together. I think they were both devastated by Jack's death and ending up leaning on each other in the aftermath, which turned romantic.
I was a little annoyed with him running out on the play, but it was nice to see him there for Randall for once.
I guess, though she only dated that dude for a couple months a quarter century prior. His reaction seemed maybe a bit too harsh. But, in my defense, I'm over Jack being Mr. Perfect so I'm okay with him being at least partially in the wrong for a change.

To the Parents out there, was Rebecca's outburst at overhearing that her son is having sex, and then reprimanding / admonishing / showing concern over him, the best response to that event? I am thinking she should have tried to stifle her outburst, and talk to him about it at a more neutral time, and after she talked to Jack about it.
Parental thoughts about the Surprise Birds and the Bees?

I guess, though she only dated that dude for a couple months a quarter century prior. His reaction seemed maybe a bit too harsh. But, in my defense, I'm over Jack being Mr. Perfect so I'm okay with him being at least partially in the wrong for a change. His reaction to it being the ex-boyfriend was harsh, but I also think he wasn't actually reacting to that particular issue, he was reacting to the fact that he didn't want her to go at all because of the family. But since he kept his feelings inside because he wanted to be supportive of her, he kind of blew up when he found out it was her favorite ex-boyfriend. I hope that makes sense, I don't feel like I'm explaining myself well. The Toby and Kate I saw in the last episode makes me supportive of their relationship. Finally! Real talk between the two of them! And good for Kevin for being there for Randall and seeing the signs! How often do we see signs and just ignore them? Or don't want to get ourselves involved? I thought it was great character development for Kevin. And the foreshadowing at the end of last night's episode? Epic. I don't think they could have made it anymore obvious.

I think Jack was also reacting to how Rebecca and the ex were singing to each other. Miguel told him it was all for show, but then he finds out they actually were a couple at some point. And she's going to be travelling with him. I can see hurt feelings and trust issues there.
Since we know he dies when the kids are teens, and I assume it's not the result of some ongoing health issue like cancer (because there's not really time to develop that), it has to be an accident. Kate still can't talk about it, so it must be traumatic.
I thought Kevin running out to help Randall was great, but hated that it had to be at the expense of his career. And the tropiness of it being at the exact second his Big Break is about to start. Ugh.
That seemed pretty accurate. The shock of hearing one kid so casually talk about your other kid having sex is going to make you be all "What?" She responded very well, better than a lot of real life parents.

Oh.My.God. I am an ugly crying mess. Man, me too. I've sniffled a few times in the past for this show, but last night's got me like no other. First, when William thanked Jack for "doing what I couldn't do" for Randall and then the entire last five minutes. Sterling K. Brown and Ron Cephas Jones brought it last night. I'm getting teary just thinking about it.
